TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2008 CHRYSLER ASPEN 4X2. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AUTOMATIC HATCHBACK INDEPENDENTLY CLOSED WITH EXTREME FORCE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE HATCHBACK WAS DESIGNED TO CLOSE ONLY WHEN THE AUTOMATIC REMOTE WAS DEPRESSED TWICE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE REMOTE WAS NOT ENGAGED AND WAS CONCERNED WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF THE FAILURE CAUSING INJURY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN AUTHORIZED DEALER WHO REPLACED THE GAS POWERED STRUTS. THE CONTACT CALLED THE MANUFACTURER WHO OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE.
