VERY SHORTLY AFTER REFUELING MY CAR (PROBABLY DRIVEN LESS THAN 1000 FEET) THE CAR SHUTTERED AND STALLED. IT RESTARTED IMMEDIATELY BUT THEN SHUT DOWN AGAIN WITHIN THE MILE. AGAIN, IT STARTED IMMEDIATELY AND I HAD NO MORE PROBLEMS UNTIL THE NEXT TIME I FILLED THE TANK AND IT STALLED AGAIN ALMOST IMMEDIATELY UPON EXITING THE GAS STATION. AGAIN, IT RESTARTED ON THE FIRST TRY AND I HAD NO MORE PROBLEMS FOR THE REST OF THE TRIP OR SINCE. HOWEVER, I HAVE NOT REFUELED SINCE; SO DON'T KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN WHEN I DO. I HAVE TAKEN IT TO A DEALER AND IT IS DEEMED I NEED A NEW GAS TANK. GAS TANKS SHOULD NOT WEAR OUT AND OUR CAR IS LOW MILEAGE AND IN MINT CONDITION. THIS SEEMS LIKE A FAULTY DESIGN PROBLEM. IT IS CLEARLY A SAFETY ISSUE WITH MY CAR AND I SUSPECT WITH OTHERS WHO OWN THE SAME MODEL. (I DID NOT "TOP OFF" THE TANK ON EITHER OCCASION.) *TR

AFTER REFILLING THE GAS TANK OF MY 2006 300C CHRYSLER, IT STUMBLES AS THOUGH IT IS NO LONGER GETTING ENOUGH FUEL. THERE IS A DEFINITE AND SERIOUS LOSS OF POWER, WITH CONCERN FOR OUR SAFETY AS WE EXIT THE GAS STATION AND REENTER TRAFFIC. THERE IS A SENSE THAT THE ENGINE IS STRUGGLING AND WOULD STALL. THE LOSS OF POWER REPEATS SEVERAL MORE TIMES AS WE DRIVE FURTHER FROM THE GAS STATION. THIS PROBLEM HAS PRESENTED ITSELF ALMOST EVERY TIME WE REFUEL AND IS CAUSE FOR REAL CONCERN FOR OUR SAFETY. BASED ON ADVICE FROM OTHER 300C OWNERS, WE PLAN TO NO LONGER FILL THE TANK, BUT STOP AT ABOUT THE 3/4 MARK. THIS DOES NOT SEEM TO BE A VERY EFFECTIVE SOLUTION TO A GENUINE SAFETY ISSUE. *TR
