electrical, drivetrain, powertrain. While driving the vehicle a message popped up on the speedometer saying service battery chargeing system and battery saver mode. the is the second time that those messages have come up in the four years of ownership with the first time being in 2024. The second issue we have had with this vehicle was injectors going bad and causing a bad misfire making driveability rough. We have gone through three O2 sensors in the past 4 years. we have replaced the alternator and are fixing to replace it again. the driverside axle seal leaked. transmission slips bad. there is a current random misfire. Back in may of 2025 we were driving to Florida from missouri and had to slam on the brakes and when we released the brake the car refused to move and when i pressed the gas harder there was a loud bang like we had been hit but it was like the brakes had locked up completely. It shudders bad when starting. Two months ago the steering locked up while driving. Vehicle has been inspected several times by the dealer we bought it from but driving this vehicle is becoming my families worst nightmare.
Brakes began making noise soon after purchasing, was told the sound was normal. Eventually brakes started to fail car would not stop even at slow speeds. Was told it needed new brake pads. Replaced pads then a couple months pads began to grind and again brakes would not stop. Was told I needed to replace pads ice again.
When slowing down there is a grinding sound. Everytime i take it to the dealership they say they don't see anything.

The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Traverse. The contact that while driving at approximately 59 MPH, and cruise control possibly activated, the brake pedal was depressed and felt abnormally stiff, the vehicle did not slow down as intended and there was no pulsating while braking. The vehicle then side-swiped a vehicle in the right-turning lane. The vehicle parking brake was applied to bring the vehicle to a stop. Both vehicles sustained damages. The vehicle was steered to the side of the road. No injuries were sustained. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed to a dealer where the failure was not able to be replicated. Additionally, a mobile mechanic from the dealer was sent to the residence where the failure was not able to be replicated. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 20,600.
I stopped for gas and when I went to start the car and leave, the parking brake did not disengage. I was stranded. This is the second issue I have had with the breaking/gear shift on this vehicle. It is a lemon
As I was pulling out of my parking space on the street a car was coming toward me and the forward collision alert lights and sound went off as well as a terrible grinding started as if it was trying to brake as I was driving but not slowing me down. This has now happened 4 times. The first two times there were cars coming toward…

As I was pulling out of my parking space on the street a car was coming toward me and the forward collision alert lights and sound went off as well as a terrible grinding started as if it was trying to brake as I was driving but not slowing me down. This has now happened 4 times. The first two times there were cars coming toward me but we were not in jeopardy of a collision. The grinding only stops once I remove my foot from the gas pedal. I took it to the dealership after the 2nd time and they checked the brakes and couldn’t recreate the issue and said everything looked good.
