Vehicle gives "shift to park" warning when already in park. Occasionally, vehicle will not shut off. Once it does shut off, dash lights and controls do not shut off. Vehicle will not lock upon exit. Warning lights and beeping causes battery to drain. I have been left stranded with dead battery twice.

Transfer case failed during hard braking in wet conditions. While braking to avoid a vehicle not yielding right of way the transfer case was damaged while in the Automatic 4 wheel drive mode of operation. The condition caused the vehicle to not operate properly in any mode of 4 wheel drive. In any mode of 4wd the vehicle would violently jerk at slow speed while turning. I thought it was a limited slip differential problem. It was brought to Stokes Chevrolet for service and was repaired (replaced transfer case) under warranty. The concern I have is the service advisor asked me if I normally operated the vehicle in Automatic 4 wheel drive to which I replied yes. I felt this was the safest mode of operation for the vehicle. The advisor then informed me that this is not recommended and could lead to damage. I am confused as GM says this will not cause damage but the service advisor says it will. Is Chevrolet aware of an issue with this mode of operation and if so how many of their automatic 4 wheel drive systems are affected by this issue.

This truck has had ongoing issues with the braking system. From the point of purchase Ive noted and informed the dealer of a very soft brake pedal pressure, and its gotten to the point where the brakes have to be pumped to get enough braking power to stop the vehicle at lower speeds, at highway speeds the vehicle is not able to stop in an emergency braking situation without pumping the brake pedal to build pressure, and especially when loaded or towing a load under the recommended gvwr. This problem is magnified by the fact that since day one the rear brakes have been wearing at a much greater rate than the front brakes. As indicated by the vehicles on board diagnostics display. This has gotten to the point where the rear rotors are warped and the rear brakes stick at a stop and you can feel the release when you apply the throttle. This vehicle has had to have the rear end rebuilt not just once but now going on the second time. A GM engineer that came to look at the truck avoided addressing the brake issue after the dealership requested General Motors assistance from their tech and then engineering department. This vehicles braking system represents a great risk for injury and or accident in its present condition, and the dealer Bradley Chevrolet Lake Havasu City Arizona as well as General Motors Customer Care Dept. has been made aware of this and has yet to take any action. This incident started back in Nov 22 and has been ongoing.... I believe this vehicle in its current state reflects a clear and present danger if driven .

After a visual inspection of the vehicle, the contact observed fluid leaking from the engine compartment. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, who diagnosed a failure with the front differential. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact owns a 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. The contact stated that while driving approximately 65 MPH, the vehicle began making screeching and clunking noises. The instrument panel displayed that the vehicle was shifting from 2WD to 4WD. The contact stated that after arriving at his destination and parking the vehicle, the vehicle failed to move. The vehicle was towed to the dealer who diagnosed that the front differential had separated; however, it would be an extensive amount of time before the part would be available to repair the vehicle due to the part being on backorder. The vehicle had not been repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 10,000. The contact stated that in addition to the front differential failure, the transfer case was also damaged. GM customer service provided the contact will a rental truck while their vehicle was in the shop. Both the front differential and the transfer case were replaced.

The transmission oil coolant rubs against the engine oil coolant line causing one or both lines to leak out. There are no warning lights when this happens, the vehicle will just stop accelerating. I was on the freeway pulling a trailer weighing about 9k pounds, traveling at about 75 mph when this happened to me. I was able to clear the traffic and limp off the freeway. The car was towed to Henson Chevrolet Buick GMC in Madisonville, TX. I contact my insurance company USAA and explained what happened they did not wish to look into it. The dealership is very vague when providing updates. I have been also working with a GM customer service rep. No one seems to really care about the safety issue. I have requested a detailed report of the issues and the repairs. The vehicle has been in the shop at the dealership since 8/13/2022.
