WHILE DRIVING AT VARIES SPEEDS & THE BRAKES (ABS) ARE APPLIED. THE VEHICLE DOES NOT STOP. THE DISTANCE IS MUCH FURTHER ALONG THAN IT SHOULD. TOOK TO MECHANIC & INFORMED THAT SEALS/ POWER BRAKE BOOSTER & MASTER CYLINDER GONE. *AK

CONSUMER COMPLAINS THAT VEHICLE HAS BEEN EXPERENCING BRAKING PROBLEMS SINCE MAR.-20-97, WHICH WAS THE FIRST TIME SHE TOOK IT TO THE DEALERS; SECOND TIME WAS MAY -27-97, DEALER TOLD HER THEY COULD NOT FIND THE PROBLEM. VEHICLE HAS GOTTEN WORSE EVERY TIME IT RAINS OR IF IT'S WET, THE BRAKES APPLIED WOULD CAUSE SKIDDING AND SQUEAKING NOISES. *AK
POOR ABS BRAKE PERFORMANCE, COMPLETE BRAKE FAILURE WAS EXPERIENCED IN A PANIC STOP SITUATION, THE PEDAL WENT TO THE FLOOR. *AK *JB
THE MASTER CYLINDER BRAKE LINE IS LEAKING BRAKE FLUID, CAUSING THE BRAKES TO MALFUNCTION. *AK

THE OFFICE OF DEFECTS INVESTIGATION HAS RECEIVED 375 REPORTS ALLEGING FAILURE OF THE DRIVER'S SEAT FRAME WHICH IS PRONE TO BREAKAGE AT THE LEFT FRONT ATTACHING POINT.WHEN THIS OCCURS, THE SEAT MAY TILT AWAY FROM THE RISER DURING ACCELERATING OR BRAKING.(SEE CLOSING REPORT)
