At 23000 miles the right rear wheel cracked. I have a 2023 Corvette stingray HTC with the 20" wheels. At 23000 miles the right rear wheel cracked. I have a 2023 Corvette stingray HTC with the 20" wheels. The option code for this original GM wheel is Q8Q, "20" rear carbon flash painted aluminum wheels with machined edge". This is a common problem and has been reported by many corvette owners on several corvette forums. I do not track my car and have new tires. GM again ignores this safety item. I had the problem on my C7 and again on my C8. I did complete the GM refund paperwork for my C7 cracked rear rims, however, GM never did any refunds or tried to correct this safety issue.

General Motors, LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2023–2026 Chevrolet Corvette vehicles equipped with a left-side radiator/fan combination. Excess fuel may spill into the vehicle fuel-filler pocket during refueling and leak onto an ignition source.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source, such as hot engine or exhaust components, can increase the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will install a shield to divert spilled fuel, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 14, 2025. Owners may contact Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020. GM's number for this recall is N252514930.
