THE TIRES WERE REPLACEMENT TIRES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE DOT NUMBER WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 06T016000 (TIRES). THE VIN WAS UNKNOWN. THE VEHICLE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN AND THE TIRE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 300.

UNANTICIPATED HEAT IN THE TRANSMISSION CAN FORCE THE TRANSMISSION FLUID OUT OF THE VENT TUBE.
Consequence & remedy Consequence: THE VENTED TRANSMISSION FLUID CAN CATCH FIRE IF EXPOSEDTO A SOURCE OF IGNITION.
Remedy: INSTALL A LONGER TRANSMISSION VENT HOSE ROUTED TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT OF THE VEHICLE.
