After shifting into park the DIC comes on and says shift into park. At first I was able to reset the transmission into drive and back to park and it would reset the DIC. After shifting into park the DIC comes on and says shift into park. At first I was able to reset the transmission into drive and back to park and it would reset the DIC. However, today I was at a loss as what to do as it would not reset and the lights and horn were in a warning mode. Finally, I set the parking brake and the DIC message went off. I have not gone to the dealer but will make an appointment to do so. Our 2019 Blazer only has 18,500 miles on it when this happened. I have seen several complaints of this type when researching the problem. No simple solutions were offered other than a trip to dealer for an expensive fix.

When shifting to Park, and pressing the button to turn the car off, received an error "Shift to Park" despite being in Park and the car would not turn off. When researching the issue, many others have reported the same issues with other models of Chevrolet and GM vehicles. This is a known issue and GM has issued a service bulletin, but not a recall. I went to Reedman Toll Chevrolet in Langhorne, PA where I purchased the vehicle. They are also familiar with this issue as many others have experienced the same error. This was also an expensive fix for me out of pocket. It cost $660.

I looked online and a lot of Chevy products are having this issue. Something will pop up saying limited driving assistance then your cold hot gauge doesn’t work is get stuck your air conditioning quits working your oil gauge quit working your battery how much voltage you have quits working it falls your whole window up where you can’t see. This is an ongoing issue with most of GMC vehicles, especially blazers. This is a safety issue that could cause your car to blow up or your windows. The fog over where you can’t see and you have a wreck and I could kill you.

When I shift my car to park and turn it off the dashboard will alert me and say I need to shift to park. The car doesn’t recognize I just shifted into it, but it automatically unlocks my doors so part of it knows I’m in park. I’m not sure if I let my foot off the brake if it’ll start rolling & I haven’t attempted since it’s usually in my garage. It is currently at the Chevy Dealer to be “analyzed” but it seems to be a known problem they don’t want to recall.

Shift to park has came on the dash. Can not shut the car off. This will mean I will have to unplug the battery and not be able to lock the car. This is the first that it has occurred. Will have to schedule an appointment with the dealership on Monday.

When I shift to park it doesn't recognize its in park along with extreme stutter of the transmission when accelerating this could be dangerous as it could result in a accident.

21V115000 · Tires

Feb 25, 2021

General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2020 Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT4, XT5, Escalade, Escalade ESV, Chevrolet Suburban, Tahoe, Traverse, GMC Yukon, Yukon XL, 2018-2021 Chevrolet Express, GMC Savana, 2019-2020 Chevrolet Blazer, Silverado 1500, GMC Acadia, Sierra 1500, and certain Continental tires sold to the aftermarket for various model year 2018-2021 vehicles. The affected tires were cured for too long during production.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Over cured tires may develop a break in the sidewall resulting in sudden air loss or a belt edge separation which could lead to a tread/belt loss. Either condition can cause a loss of vehicle control, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the tires, replacing them as necessary, free of charge. The recall began March 22, 2021. Owners may contact GMC customer service at 1-888-988-7267, Buick customer service at 1-866-608-8080, Chevrolet customer service at 1-800-222-1020 or Cadillac customer service at 1-800-458-8006. General Motors LLC (GM) is recalling certain 2018-2019 Chevrolet Cruze and Buick LaCrosse, 2018-2020 Chevrolet Equinox, Chevrolet Traverse and GMC Terrain, 2018 Chevrolet Malibu, 2019-2020 Buick Encore, Buick Enclave, Cadillac XT4, Chevrolet Blazer and GMC Acadia, and 2020 Cadillac XT6 vehicles. The start/stop accumulator endcap may have missing bolts.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Missing bolts on the start-stop accumulator endcap could result in a transmission oil leak and may progress to a loss of propulsion, increasing the risk of a crash. A transmission fluid leak in the presence of an ignition source may increase the risk of fire.

Remedy: GM will notify owners, and dealers will inspect the start-stop transmission accumulator and replace it if any bolts are missing, free of charge. The recall began December 15, 2020.
