RECENTLY THE ANCHOR CLIP ON THE SEAT BELT NO LONGER HOLDS THE BELT . DEALER TOLD ME THAT THEY NO LONGER MAKE A REPLACEMENT. HOW CAN MANUFACTURURES GET AWAY WITH NOT MAKING VITAL SAFETY EQUIPEMENT ? NAPA AUTO PARTS STORES DO NOT CARRY ANY AFTER MARKET BELT ASSEMBLY THAT CAN REPLACE IT. THERE ARE NO SALVAGE YARDS IN MY AREA THAT H…

NAPA AUTO PARTS STORES DO NOT CARRY ANY AFTER MARKET BELT ASSEMBLY THAT CAN REPLACE IT. THERE ARE NO SALVAGE YARDS IN MY AREA THAT HAVE THE BELTS, BESIDES I DO NOT FEEL SAFE USING A USED BELT. ALL MANUFACTURES SHOULD MAKE VITAL COMPONENTS ESPECIALLY WHEN THE VAN IS NOT EVEN TEN YEARS OLD. THE BELT PROMPTED MY REPORT, BUT THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM HAS NOT WORKED FOR THREE YEARS NOW. I HAVE HAD MACHANICS LOOK AT IT BUT TO NO AVAIL. I HAVE LOCKED TIRES IN BRAKING THREE TIMES SINCE THEN, TWICE IN THE RAIN. THE SEAT BELT REALLY CONCERNS ME. *AK
