WHILE DRIVING ON A SLIGHT HILL, WITH CRUISE CONTROL SET AT 67 MPH, VEHICLE ACCELERATED TO 75 TO 83 MPH BEFORE DRIVER WAS ABLE TO STOP IT. APPLYING THE BRAKES DID NOT DISENGAGE THE SYSTEM. AFTER PULLING THE VEHICLE IN OVERDRIVE, IT BEGAN TO SLOWED DOWN. DEALER HAS BEEN NOTIFIED ABOUT THE PROBLEM. THE VEHICLE HAS NOT BEEN CHECKED. PLEASE PROVIDE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
STARTED TO SHIFT INTO DRIVE, HAD FOOT ON BRAKES, VEHICLE TOOK OFF AT FULL THROTTLE. HAD SHIFTED INTO PARK & PRESSED HARD ON BRAKES TO STOP. TOOK TO DEALER & MECHANIC REPLACED ACCELERATOR CABLE. A FEW DAYS LATER, ACCELERATOR PROBLEM REAPPEARED. *AK

Consequence & remedy
Consequence: CONSEQUENCE OF NON-COMPLIANCE: SEAT OCCUPANTS ARE SUBJECT TO INCREASED RISK OF INJURY IN THE EVENT OF A SUDD STOP OR ACCIDENT.
Remedy: SHERRY DESIGNS WILL PROVIDE AN ATTACHABLE HEADREST FOR THE DEALER OR CUSTOMER TO ADD TO THE SEATS.

Consequence & remedy
Consequence: CONSEQUENCE OF NON-COMPLIANCE: OWNERS OF VEHICLE WOULD BE UNAWARE OF THE LOAD CAPACITY OF THE VANS, THE VAN BUILD DATE, AND WOULD NOT HAVE ANY ASSURANCE THAT THE VANS MEET THE FEDERAL MOTOR VEHICLE SAFETY STANDARDS.
Remedy: THE LABELS WILL BE FURNISHED TO OWNER'S FOR INSTALLATION ON THE VEHICLES.
