When making left turns in curves the right wheel brakes automatically, caused me to run off the road, luckily I didn’t get hurt
Vehicle goes into VSS mode when making left hand turnes at speeds of 30 MPH or more. Also cause the vehicle to fishtail. This cause the vehicle to swerve into the lane to the right while making the left turn. Breaking and shaking is automatically applied to the right tire while this is happening.
The VSS Vehicle stability system on the right tire goes on at speeds of 30 MPH or more while making a sweeping left hand turn. Like on a canyon, highway or street. The VSS Vehicle stability system on the right tire goes on at speeds of 30 MPH or more while making a sweeping left hand turn. Like on a canyon, highway or street. This causes the vehicle to apply brake pressure only to the the right tire and then pulls the vehicle further to the right side while makeing a left turn. This can cause you to drift uncontrollably into the right hand lane, or into a gaurd rail or into another moving vehicle. This has happened numerous times. This is also related the the back tire getting very wobbly at the same time and causes the Ryker to fishtail out of nowhere. I contacted BRP and they told.me they only had 10 or so complaints about this in their system and therefore no Recall. This seems impossible because as you will see from my photos there are many owners with documented proof and something that lots of Can-Am Ryker owners are complaining about. Sometimes the vehicle will shut down and go into limp mode while in motion because of it. There seems to be a TSB bulletin for a pitman arm fix out to the dealerships. However it's not a mandatory recall and if you are out of warranty (which is currently only 12 months) you are forced to pay for it yourself. The other fix is to reset the sensors, but from what I'm seeing it is only a temporary fix of maybe 4 days tops before the issue starts happening again. I'm worried for all Cn-Am Ryker owners, and wish BRP would issue a fix for this very dangerous issue.

I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE ON MY VEHICLE IN OCTOBER. THE EMAIL SAYS MY VEHICLE IS UNUSABLE UNTIL THE REPAIRS ARE PERFORMED AND I SHOULD NOT DRIVE IT. SINCE THEN, I HAVE REACHED OUT TO THE MANUFACTURER THROUGH PHONE AND EMAIL 4 TIMES. I HAVE TRIED TO ACCOMMODATE THE REPAIR TO THE BEST OF MY ABILITY BUT THE AMOUNT OF MONEY REQUIRED TO HAVE THE REPAIRS PERFORMED IS BEYOND MY MEANS. ACCORDING TO THE EMAIL I WAS SENT, THE DEFECT CAN CAUSE THE WHEELS TO FALL OFF. THIS HAS LEFT ME WITHOUT THE VEHICLE TO DRIVE FOR MONTHS.
SPITS GASOLINE AND CONTINUE TO READ FUEL FAULT! MY RIGHT WHEEL HAS BEEN MAKING A RATTLE NOISE SINCE THE RECALL INSTALL. BRAKES HAVE MADE NOISE SINCE PURCHASE

ON SATURDAY (9/29/19) I NOTICED WHAT LOOKED LIKE A TINY SCRATCH ON THE WHEEL AXLE NUT OF THE LEFT, FRONT TIRE OF MY 2019 CAN-AM RYKER AFTER I WAS OUT RIDING FOR A FEW HOURS. I WASN'T REALLY ALARMED BUT PARKED IT IN MY GARAGE, AND WOUND UP NOT RIDING IT FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS. THE FOLLOWING WEDNESDAY (10/02/19), I LOADED UP MY SADDLEBAG AND PERFORMED A PRE-CHECK JUST BEFORE I WAS HEADED OUT FOR A RIDE, AND NOTICED THAT THE SCRATCH HAD TURNED INTO A LARGE CRACK THAT WENT THROUGH THE WHOLE WHEEL NUT! IT WAS REALLY STRANGE BECAUSE I HADN'T RIDDEN IN A FEW DAYS SO I WASN'T SURE HOW THAT COULD'VE HAPPENED. NEEDLESS TO SAY, MY RIDING DAYS HAVE BEEN HALTED.
THE LEFT FRONT WHEEL NUT IS CRACKED ALL THE WAY THRU .I FOUND THIS DURING A PRE-RIDE CHECK.I BEGAN CHECKING THEM EVER SINCE I SAW A POST ABOUT THIS ISSUE ON A FORUM.THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A HUGE SAFETY CONCERN CONSIDERING THIS NUT HOLDS THE WHEEL ON THE BIKE.
THE NET THE HOLDS THE REAR WHEEL ON HAS CRACKED ALL THE WAY THROUGH. AFTER READING NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS ONLINE , I BEGAN CHECKING MINE EVERY TIME BEFORE I RODE. ON AUGUST 31ST 2019 WOW INSTALLING A DIFFERENT SEAT ON MY UNIT. I HAPPENED TO LOOK DOWN AND NOTICED THE CRACK IN THE WHEEL NUT. I TALK TO MYSELF I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED …

ON AUGUST 31ST 2019 WOW INSTALLING A DIFFERENT SEAT ON MY UNIT. I HAPPENED TO LOOK DOWN AND NOTICED THE CRACK IN THE WHEEL NUT. I TALK TO MYSELF I COULD HAVE BEEN KILLED IF I WENT IN WITHOUT WRITING TODAY THE WHEEL WOULD HAVE COME OFF. I IMMEDIATELY CALLED THE DEALER AND HAD THE TRANSPORTING BY FLATBED TRUCK TO THE NEAREST DEALER. I ALSO CONTACTED BRP BY EMAIL TO MAKE THEM AWARE OF THIS PROBLEM.
