ALTERNATOR HAS BEEN REPLACED 3 TIMES, IT WILL STALL AND THEN JUST DIE, THE FUSES ARE A ONGOING THING THEY JUST KEEP BLOWING LIKE THERE IS A SHORT IN THE BOX , IT IS ALWAYS THE # 11 FUSE, THIS CAR ONLY HAS 38000 MILES ON IT. BUT I KNOW THERE IS A SHORT IN THE WIRING AND I THINK THAT IS WHAT IS CAUSING THE ALTERNATOR TO KEEP GOING OUT. IT ALSO MISSES BETWEEN 40 AND 50 MILES AN HR. I HAVE REPLACED PLUGS AND PLUG WIRES AND NOTHING HELPS IT. I GOT THIS CAR FROM A MAN THAT WAS 78 YRS OLD AND HE BOUGHT THE CAR NEW, HE REPLACED THE ALTERNATOR TWICE AND I HAVE REPLACED IT 1 TIME SINCE SEPT. WHEN I GOT THE CAR. FROM ALL THE REPORTS I THINK THIS NEEDS TO BE INVESTIGATED, BEFORE 1 BURNS AND HURTS SOMEBODY. *AK
DRIVIER'S SIDE SEAT BELT DOES NOT LOCK INTO LATCH WHEN TRYING TO USE SEAT BELT. BUICK HAS BEEN CONTACTED. *AK
VEHICLE WILL STALL WHEN TURNING A CORNER OR PULLING INTO TRAFFIC. THEN, A FEW SECONDS VEHICLE WILL TAKE OFF AGAIN. *AK THIS HAPPENS TWICE A MONTH. *YH
ANTI-LOCK BRAKING SYSTEM ENGAGED WITHOUT BRAKING. SYSTEM FAILURE RESULTED IN THE NECESSARY REPLACEMENT OF THE FOLLOWING COMPONENTS: ANTI-LOCK BRAKE VALVE, MASTER CYLINDER, 2 LOADED CALIPERS, 2 BRAKE HOSES AND BRAKE FLUID AT THE COST OF $1192. VEHICLE WAS UNABLE TO BE DRIVEN TO THE DEALERSHIP.

DRIVER'S BACKREST COLLAPSED AFTER RESTING BACK ON SEAT WHILE IN DRIVEWAY. DEALER/MANUFACTURER WERE NOT NOTIFIED AT THIS TIME. OWNER NOTICED THAT AFTER FAILURE NEITHER PIN THAT HOLDS SEAT WAS IN PLACE, AND ONE WAS MISSING ALTOGETHER, NO RETAINERS FOUND. ONE SEAT BASE FLOOR STUD NEVER HAD A NUT ON IT. *AK *ML

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM AUGUST 1991 THROUGH JULY 1995. THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER LINE CAN SEPARATE WHEN THE VEHICLE IS OPERATED IN LOW TEMPERATURES IN COMBINATION WITH HIGH TRANSMISSION LOADS.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: VEHICLE FIRES CAN OCCUR DUE TO THE SPILLAGE OF TRANSMISSION FLUID.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER LINES.
