I HAD MY CAR IN CRUISE CONTROL, SET AT 70MPH, AND I WAS CRESTING A HILL WHEN MY CAR LOST POWER. I TOOK IT OFF CRUISE CONTROL BUT IT WOULD NOT RUN. IT WOULD SURGE THEN SLOW DOWN. IT SEEMED TO HAVE VAPOR LOCKED. I HAD MANY CLOSE CALLS WITH OTHER CARS BECAUSE I WAS IN HEAVY TRAFFIC. I HAD TO DRIVE ON THE SHOULDER WITH MY FLASHERS ON UNTIL I COULD GET TO A GAS STATION. I SHUT THE CAR OFF FOR 2 HOURS AND IT WAS OK. IT HAS DONE THIS SEVERAL TIMES , I HAVE HAD MANY REPAIRS ON IT AND IT STILL IS NOT FIXED.
WHILE DRIVING VEHICLE ACCELERATED OUT OF CONTROL, CAUSING IT TO HIT A TREE. DRIVER SUSTAINED INJURIES. *AK
ANTI-FREEZE IS LEAKING FROM THE THROTTLE BODY CONTROL VALVE GASKET ONTO THE ENGINE. THE DEALER IS AWARE OF THE PROBLEM. THE PROBLEM HAS NOT BEEN CORRECTED.
WINDSHIELD WASHER PUMP FAILED.
WHILE ACCELERATING FROM STANDSTILL, SOMETHING SIGNALED CRUISE CONTROL TO ACCELERATE, NEVER STOPPED ACCELERATING, TURNED OFF IGNITION TO STOP VEHICLE, TURNED STARTER BACK ON, ENGINE WAS RUNNING WIDE OPEN. DEALER COULD NOT REPRODUCE PROBLEM, REPLACED SERVO. *AK
WHILE TAKING THE VEHICLE OUT OF PARK AND PUTTING IT IN DRIVE THE VEHICLE WILL ACCELERATE WITHOUT NOTICE AND THE DRIVER HAS TO RIDE THE BRAKES WHICH WILL CAUSE THE BRAKES TO BURN OUT. *AK

ACCELERATOR SQUEAKS.
OCCASIONALLY WHEN BRAKING ENGINE RACES, REQUIRING EXCESSIVE PRESSURE TO BE APPLIED TO BRAKE PEDAL TO PREVENT VEHICLE FROM MOVING FORWARD.

VEHICLE DESCRIPTION: PASSENGER VEHICLES MANUFACTURED FROM AUGUST 1991 THROUGH JULY 1995. THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER LINE CAN SEPARATE WHEN THE VEHICLE IS OPERATED IN LOW TEMPERATURES IN COMBINATION WITH HIGH TRANSMISSION LOADS.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: VEHICLE FIRES CAN OCCUR DUE TO THE SPILLAGE OF TRANSMISSION FLUID.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER LINES.
