The vehicle’s infotainment/display screen (center touchscreen system) malfunctions. The screen flickers, freezes, becomes unresponsive, and frequently fails to connect. The malfunction creates a safety concern because the screen controls critical functions such as navigation, rear-view camera display, Bluetooth/phone connectivity, and vehicle settings. When the screen freezes or flickers, I am unable to safely access navigation or hands-free phone features, causing distraction while driving and increasing the risk of an accident. The issue has occurred repeatedly during normal vehicle operation. There were no warning lamps prior to the malfunction. Symptoms include screen flickering, freezing, delayed response, and loss of connectivity. These symptoms began intermittently and have progressively become more frequent over time.

On August 13, 2025, I purchased the 2025 Buick Envista from DeMontrond in Houston, Texas, for $31,000.00, with a down payment of $12,000. The car is a gift to my grandson who recently graduated from college and starting a job at the Emory University Hospital. On September 6, 2025, the car had to be taken to be repaired due to a “fuel filler pipe leaking”. I didn’t expect that a brand-new car would need to be repaired for something that seems to be dangerous. The fuel filler pipe is crucial for the safe and efficient transfer of fuel to the vehicle's tank. It connects the fuel cap to the fuel tank, ensuring that fuel flows properly without spills or leaks. A leaking fuel filler pipe can lead to fuel vapors escaping, which can be dangerous and illegal in most states. It can also cause issues with the vehicle's EVAP system, leading to diagnostic trouble codes related to fuel vapor leaks. I contacted General Motors Consumer Department and sent a letter to Mr. Mark Reuss, President of GM requesting that the vehicle be replaced or the money I paid be refunded. They refused to replace the vehicle or refund the money I had already paid. Through this letter, I am requesting your help to have GM recalled the vehicle and that I am provided with a brand-new and safe replacement or to refund me the money I already paid.

The infotainment system blacks out intermittently. The speakers will go out along with the infotainment. This has happened on several occasions I have pictures that are dated and time stamped. All the lights on the infotainment went out to include the odometer as I was operating the vehicle. I first thought the vehicle cut off then moments later the infotainment turns on and the speakers and odometer is working again. This has happened intermittently on multiple occasions. The vehicle has gone to the dealer 3 times but they are stating they can’t duplicate. So they can not fix it and issue is not resolved.

ON [XXX], (SUNDAY) AFTER DRIVING TO AN EAST LANSING, MI RESTAURANT & SPENDING 1-1/2 HOURS EATING BREAKFAST, I TURNED MY CAR ON AT ABOUT [XXX], AND RECEIVED AN ERROR MESSAGE ON THE DASHBOARD THAT THE POWER STEERING WAS NOT FUNCTIONING. I TRIED BACKING UP, THEN DRIVING FORWARD 3-4 TIMES & THE ISSUE WAS CONFIRMED. I ALSO TURNED THE CAR OFF & ON SEVERAL TIMES WITH THE SAME ERROR MESSAGE APPEARING. I CALLED ON STAR AND THE DIAGNOSTIC TESTS WERE ALL NEGATIVE FOR ISSUES. MY CALL TO ON STAR GOT DISCONNECTED. I TURNED MY CAR OFF. WHEN I TURNED IT BACK ON, THE POWER STEERING WAS WORKING. ON STAR CALLED ME BACK & I REPORTED THAT THE POWER STEERING WAS NOW APPARENTLY WORKING. I THEN DROVE, VERY APPREHENSIVELY, OVER 100 MILES TO MY HOME IN GRAND HAVEN, MI WITH NO PROBLEMS. THIS COULD HAVE PROVED DEADLY IF MY POWER STEERING HAD FAILED DURING THE DRIVE. ON [XXX], (SUNDAY), AT 3:22PM EST, I RECEIVED , IN MY EMAIL, MY SEPTEMBER 'DIAGNOSTIC' REPORT THAT MY ANTILOCK BRAKING SYSTEM HAS AN ALERT THIS MONTH WITH REQUIRES IMMEDIATE ATTENTION. AS OF TODAY, MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 15, I HAVE NOT CONTACTED THE DEALER YET. THIS IS MY 3RD WARRANTY ISSUE SO FAR, MAKING ME EXTREMELY UNSATISFIED (NOT YOUR PROBLEM, I KNOW). MY BACKUP CAMERA CEASED FUNCTIONING & HAD TO BE REPLACED. MY DRIVER SIDE MIRROR GLASS WAS NEVER SEATED PROPERLY AND THE ENTIRE MIRROR IS IN THE PROCESS OF BEING REPLACED. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Had to wait almost 3 weeks for the park to finally get delivered to the dealership and was able to get fixed on 6/12/25. Then on 7/17/25 check engine light came on again. According to the Buick app, it was coming from my emission/evap system again. Took it the dealership on 7/21/25 and as of 7/27/25 it is still in the shop and they were unable to determine what is causing it. They have reached out to GMC which told them to do a ECU program reset which still didn’t rectify the issue. Already has been in the shop for a week now.

Vehicle: 2025 Buick Envista Incident Date: July 19, 2025 I purchased a brand-new 2025 Buick Envista in June, 2025 and owned it for just over a month when the brakes suddenly and completely failed while I was driving on the highway. As I exited the ramp and attempted to slow down, the brake pedal went soft and unresponsive. I had no ability to stop my vehicle, and in a moment of panic, I swerved into a curb to avoid hitting other cars or pedestrians. This caused damage to my rim and tire, but thankfully I avoided a major crash or injury. I had the vehicle towed to the dealership, where they diagnosed a master cylinder failure. The car is currently being repaired under warranty, but I no longer feel safe driving it. I suffer from anxiety and have been experiencing panic attacks and nightmares since the incident. I am deeply afraid of getting back into a car that nearly killed me. This is a brand-new vehicle and a brake failure of this magnitude should never happen — let alone within the first month of ownership. GM/Buick has offered to repair the car but not replace it, and I was informed I do not qualify for lemon law because this has only occurred once. That doesn’t change the fact that I experienced a catastrophic and life-threatening failure that could have resulted in serious injury or death. I am filing this report because I believe this is a manufacturing defect that poses a danger to others. A single failure of this kind is enough to destroy trust in the safety of a vehicle. If this happened to someone else, the outcome could be tragic. Please investigate this issue before someone loses their life.
