COMPLAINT REGARDING MANUFACTURE’S FAILURE TO PROVIDE A TIMELY RECALL REPAIR I am filing a formal complaint against General Motors (Buick) for failing to provide a timely remedy for an active federal safety recall on my 2025 Buick Envista. BACKUP CAMERA, 2025 BUICK ENVISTA. The vehicle is subject to a critical safety recall, but the manufacturer and authorized dealerships have failed to make the necessary replacement parts or software remedies available within a reasonable timeframe. I have contacted the manufacturer and my local dealership, but I have been informed that parts/remedies are unavailable, or I have been given an indefinite timeline for the repair. As a result, I am forced to drive a vehicle with a known, un-remedied safety hazard, posing an immediate risk to myself, my passengers, and others on the road. Under federal law (49 U.S.C. Chapter 301), manufacturers are required to remedy safety defects within a reasonable time after notification. The current delay constitutes a failure to comply with this statutory obligation. I request that NHTSA investigate General Motors' delay in distributing this safety recall remedy and compel the manufacturer to provide an immediate fix, an interim safety solution, or a loaner vehicle until my vehicle can be made safe.

I was driving on a Chicago expressway with my family when the tire pressure light came on, within 3 mins and before we could safely pull over the tire shredded and eventually the entire middle part of the tire came off and we were thankful there was a lot of traffic so we had to slow our speed because the inner part of the tire came off and it rolled to the side of the expressway. This could have been catastrophic if another car on the expressway tried to avoid or hit the rubber part of the tire while they were driving. We had to backup an on ramp because there was no safer alternative. We were able to put on the spare and find a tire shop that was affordable to replace the tire.

To the Vehicle Safety Complaint Division: I am filing a safety complaint regarding brake service performed on a 2025 Buick Envista (VIN: [XXX]) by Suburban Buick GMC of Troy, 1850 W Maple Rd, Troy, MI 48084, an authorized GM dealership. Safety Issue: The vehicle was brought in on XXX with brake pulsation at 20,689 miles. Suburban performed rotor resurfacing on all four rotors and certified the repair as complete and verified on XXX. On XXX — 13 days after Suburban certified the repair — Moran Buick GMC of Sterling Heights found the rear rotors causing the identical brake pulsation symptom. [XXX]'s service advisor determined the rear rotor was rubbing against another component and stated in his professional opinion that Suburban's prior service caused the condition. The corrective repair was processed as a GM warranty claim. Safety Concern: A certified brake repair on a 21,342-mile vehicle failed within days of service. The failure involved the braking system — a safety-critical component. The original service manager dismissed the customer's safety concern by stating failure would depend on "how you drive." Dealer: Suburban Buick GMC of Troy, Registration Number XXX, operated by Lithia Motors, Inc. (NYSE: LAD) Supporting Documentation: Two authorized GM dealer repair orders documenting the failed repair and corrective service are available upon request. I respectfully request confirmation of receipt of this complaint and assignment of a case or reference number. I am available to provide any additional documentation or information required to support this complaint. The complete documentary record, including both repair orders, the independent inspection findings, and the complete correspondence record with Lithia Motors corporate, is attached. I have attached the service history ticket for your records. This unit is deemed to fall apart here shortly. Not even a year old, and the AC has already gone out 3-4 times. Most important is the dashboard that shows speed and other important information I will use to drive.
