Vehicle History Report 07/07/2026 05:37 PM 2026 BMW X2 M35I (A7) 4DR SUV Repair Order: 755783 Mileage: 2212 Total: $0.00 Open Date: 05/29/2026 Closed Date: 05/30/2026 Service: CSDR Customer states just test drove shop foreman stated steering wheel off centered and recommending alignment again. Complaint: Customer states just test drove with shop foreman and shop foreman stated steering wheel off centered and recommending alignment again. Cause: Correction: PERFORMED 4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT. FOUND ALIGNMENT MEASUREMENT TO BE WITHIN MANUFACTURE SPECIFICATION, AND EVEN SIDE TO SIDE. PERFORMED ADJUSTMENT AT THE FRONT AXLE TO CORRECT STEERING WHEEL OFF CENTER. PERFORMED TEST DRIVE, VEHICLE IS DRIVING STRAIGHT AND TRUE AT THIS TIME, ALL OK. 5 times in the shop for this. Customer states idrive screen and cluster blacks out from time to time and stays off for awhile before coming back on Correction: 2095 Connected battery charger and ICOM to vehicle. Ran vehicle test vehicle needs to be programmed to latest I-Level. Performed programming of vehicle. Service: 3200601 ADJUSTING TOE-IN ON FRONT AXLE Service: 3200621 ADJUSTING REAR AXLE AND RENEWING WITH ECCENTRIC SCREWS Service: 3200155 KINEMATICS DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM WHEEL ALIGNMENT WITH RIDE HEIGHT MEASUREMENT WITHOUT LOADING THE VEHICLE PERFORMED ROAD TEST. VERIFIED STEERING WHEEL OFF CENTER TO THE LEFT. NO SIGNS OF OUTSIDE INFLUENCE. PERFORMED 4 WHEEL ALIGNMENT. FOUND LEFT REAR TOE AND CAMBER OUT OF SPECIFICATION. AND BOTH FRONT TOE OUT OF SPECIFICATION. PERFORMED ADJUSTMENT OF THE REAR AXLE, OK. REPLACED THE REAR CABER ECCENTRIC BOLTS/NUTS. PERFORMED ADJUSTMENT FOR FRONT AXLE (TOE). PERFORMED 2ND ROAD TEST TO VERIFY REPAIRS. THE STEERING WHEEL IS CENTERED AND THE VEHICLE IS DRIVING STRAIGHT AND TRUE. Complaint: DURING ROAD TEST AFTER ALIGNMENT CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON. 25V717000 · Seat Belts:rear/other:retractor

BMW of North America, LLC is recalling certain 2026 2 Series Gran Coupe, X1, X2, and Mini Countryman S ALL4 vehicles. The housing pin in the rear (left and/or right) seat belt retractors may have been damaged during production, resulting in the retractor not locking the seat belt as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 209, "Seat Belt Assemblies."

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A damaged seat belt retractor may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the rear (left and/or right) seat belts, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed December 18, 2025. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) involved in this recall became searchable on NHTSA.gov December 12, 2025.

BMW of North America, LLC is recalling certain 2025-2026 X1 and X2, MINI Cooper Convertible, MINI Cooper, Mini Countryman S ALL4, and 2025 MINI Countryman SE ALL4 vehicles. The torsion bar in both front seat belt retractors may have been damaged during production.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A damaged seat belt retractor may not properly restrain an occupant during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.

Remedy: Dealers will replace both front seat belt retractors, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed November 13, 2025. Owners may contact BMW customer service at 1-800-525-7417. Vehicle Identification Numbers (VINs) will be searchable on NHTSA.gov on November 7, 2025.
