TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2009 APRILIA SR50 MOTORCYCLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE VEHICLE EXHIBITED A LOUD NOISE AND STALLED WITHOUT WARNING. THE VEHICLE COULD NOT BE RESTARTED IMMEDIATELY. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR A DIAGNOSIS AND WAS INFORMED THAT THE ENGINE WAS BLOWN AND WOULD NEED TO BE REBUILT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND ADVISED THAT THE OCCURRENCE WAS NORMAL FOR THE VEHICLE WITH THE AMOUNT OF MILEAGE THAT WAS ACCRUED ON THE CONTACT'S VEHICLE. THEY ALSO ADVISED THAT THE CONTACT SHOULD HAVE TAKEN BETTER CARE OF THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS BEING REPAIRED. THE FAILURE AND CURRENT MILEAGE WAS 9,800. UPDATED 12/18/12 *CN THE CONSUMER STATED THE MANUFACTURER SHOULD HAVE TAKEN THE PROPER STEPS TO REPAIR THE MOPED SINCE ALL THE PROPER MANUFACTURERS SERVICE REPAIRS WERE FOLLOWED.
