Altec Industries, Inc. is recalling certain 2025-2026 Digger Derrick and 2025-2026 Aerial Device vehicles. The front end radar was improperly installed, which may result in improper operation of the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Active Brake Assist (ABA).
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: While driving, the brakes may activate unexpectedly without the driver's input, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Altec will inform the owners to inspect the front end radar installation and if installed incorrectly, instruct owners to take the vehicle to an OEM Chassis dealer to have the radar remounted and calibrated, free of charge. Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A cable step that fails during use increases the risk of injury.
Remedy: Altec will provide owners with instructions to inspect the cable crimps. If the cables are improperly crimped, Altec will provide instructions and a kit to replace the wire rope assemblies.
