THE EMERGENCY EXIT WINDOW RELEASE MECHANISM MAY REQUIRE MANUAL RELEASE FORCE THAT EXCEEDS THE MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE FORCE OF 20 LBS.
Consequence: WINDOWS WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO OPEN IN AN EMERGENCY ANDWOULD NOT COMPLY WITH FMVSS 217.
Remedy: REMOVE LEAD SEALS ON LEVERS OF EMERGENCY WINDOWS AND INCREASE PLAY BETWEEN INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL FRAME.
