WHEN MAKING U-TURNS, LEFT OR RIGHT TURNS AT INTERSECTIONS IN TRAFFIC OR JUST MATCHING SPEED TO THE TRAFFIC FLOW, THERE IS AN EXTENDED LAG IN THROTTLE RESPONSE AFTER BACKING OFF FOR A SECOND OR TWO THEN RE-ACCELERATING. IN TURNS, A MOTORCYCLE'S SPEED AND RADIUS OF TURN MUST BE MATCHED OR THE BIKE FALLS OVER IF THE THROTTLE DOESN'T RESPOND. IN STRAIGHT TRAFFIC, IF A VEHICLE IN FRONT SLOWS FOR A TURN OR WHATEVER REASON, THEN CLEARS THE ROAD OR SPEEDS UP, THERE IS THE CHANCE THE VEHICLE BEHIND WILL REAR- END ME IF I CAN'T ACCELERATE. YAMAHA KNOWS THIS PROBLEM EXISTS IN THIS MODEL MOTORCYCLE, THE DEALER THAT SOLD ME THE BIKE KNOWS THIS PROBLEM EXISTS IN THIS MODEL MOTORCYCLE, A DEALER IN PANAMA CITY, FLORIDA KNOWS THIS PROBLEM EXISTS BUT NOBODY WILL FIX IT AND IT IS DEFINITELY A HAZARD. THE BIKE MUST BE IN MOTION ON CITY STREETS OR HIGHWAYS GOING STRAIGHT OR TURNING. I CANNOT DATE WHEN IT HAPPENS BECAUSE IT HAS BEEN HAPPENING AND I HAVE BEEN BITCHING SINCE I BOUGHT IT NEW OVER THREE YEARS AGO. THE DEALER TELLS ME THAT THEY CAN PUT A DEVICE ON IT THAT WILL GREATLY IMPROVE THE RESPONSE BUT MAY NOT FIX IT COMPLETELY FOR $650.00 OR SO BUT I DON'T BELIEVE I SHOULD HAVE TO PAY TO HAVE A MANUFACTURING FAULT FIXED.
