TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2013 YAMAHA XVS 1300 MOTORCYCLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE VEHICLE EMITTED AN UNUSUAL CHEMICAL ODOR. THE CONTACT RETRIEVED A FACE MASK FROM THE SADDLEBAG AND PLACED IT AROUND HIS FACE HOWEVER, THE SKIN ON THE CONTACT'S NOSE WAS SEVERELY BURNED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER FOR DIAGNOSIS AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE SADDLEBAGS WOULD NEED TO BE REPLACED DUE TO FIBERGLASS RESIN LEAKING THROUGH THE BAG AND ONTO THE CONTENTS. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED. ONE WEEK LATER, THE CONTACT NOTICED THAT THE FAILURE HAD RECURRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE HAD NOT BEEN REPAIRED. THE VIN WAS UNAVAILABLE.
