FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY 5PX-24560-00 HAD AN INCORRECT TOLERANCE FIT AND BEGAN LEAKING FUEL ON TO THE ENGINE. LUCKILY THE UNIT STAYED TOGETHER WHILE THE MOTORCYCLE WAS TRAVELING. UPON REPLACING PART IT SIMPLY FELL APART AND CAUSED ALL FUEL IN THE TANK TO DRAIN. FAILURE DURING TRAVEL WOULD LIKELY CAUSE A FIRE AND INJURY OR DEATH TO T…

07V039000 · Engine And Engine Cooling

ON CERTAIN ROAD STAR WARRIOR MOTORCYCLES, THE LEAD WIRES FOR THE PICK-UP COIL CAN BREAK WHILE THE ENGINE IS RUNNING, CAUSING THE ENGINE TO STALL AND BE IMPOSSIBLE TO RESTART.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: IF THIS OCCURS WHILE THE MOTORCYCLE IS BEING RIDDEN, A VEHICLE CRASH COULD OCCUR.

Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE PICK-UP COIL. THE RECALL BEGAN ON MARCH 2, 2007. OWNERS MAY CONTACT YAMAHA AT 1-800-227-5963.
