THE HEAD GASKET BLEW UNDER WARRANTY ON JAN. 1993. IT WAS TOWED TO MODERN TOYOTA IN WINSTON-SALEM AND REPAIRED. AFTER REPAIRS THE ENGINE WAS MAKING NOISES. THE TRUCK WAS TAKEN BACK A COUPLE OF TIMES TO CORRECT THIS , WHICH WAS NEVER ACTUALLY DONE. THE TRUCK OVERHEATED AGAIN A COUPLE OF YEARS LATER AND WAS TAKEN TO MODERN TOYOTA. THEY REPLACED THE THERMOSTAT AND INSTALLED NEW SPARK PLUGS. ONE MONTH LATER AT MYRTLE BEACH THE TRUCK OVERHEATED AGAIN AND WAS TOOK TO THE TOYOTA DEALERSHIP IN CONWAY, S.C.. THE MECHANIC SAID IT NEEDED A THERMOSTAT AND A TUNE UP. I INFORMED HIM THAT THIS HAD BEEN DONE A MONTH AGO AND HE SAID THAT THIS WAS VERY UNUSUAL FOR A THERMOSTAT TO BE BAD. WHEN THEY CHECKED THE COMPUTER THEY DECIDED NOT TO CHARGE ME FOR THE THERMOSTAT AND THE TUNE-UP INCLUDING NEW PLUGS. THE MECHANIC SAID HE WAS AFRAID OF SERIOUS PROBLEMS AND GAVE ME A GALLON OF ANTIFREEZE AND TOLD ME GOOD LUCK. BY THIS TIME I WAS FEED UP BY THE SERVICE PEOPLE AT MODERN TOYOTA.
