Upon inspection it was discovered that the diesel fuel was leaking from the high pressure fuel rail onto the reburner causing smoke to be present. The fire dept was call to the scene but no action was needed. The vehicle was towed to the local service center who diagnosed that the high pressure fuel rail was faulty and needed to be replaced. The contact indicated that the vehicle was previously serviced under the NHTSA recall campaign number 21v306000(fuel system) for the same failure but after the recall repair the same failure had occurred. The failure mileage was 15,000.
