The contact owns a 2022 Thor Motor Coach Sequence 20K RV. The contact stated that the skid plate to protect the alternator had the incorrect OEM bolt size and was also missing bolts to secure the alternator. The dealer was made aware of the failure; however, the contact realigned the skid plate and replaced the bolts with the correct size by himself. The RV was repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,500.

Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A detached solar can become a road hazard for other vehicles and increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect and install missing washers, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed January 12, 2026. The fuel hose between the inline fuel filter and the injection pump module (IPM) may have inadequate clamp force, possibly resulting in a gasoline leak.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A gas leak in the presence of an ignition source increases the risk of a fire.
