When driving on wet roads, water from the right side rear wheels sprays up into a metal battery compartment holding both the chassis and house batteries. This compartment has three large drain holes in the floor of the compartment and, there is nothing underneath those holes to prevent rain water from being thrown into the compartment. The water in the compartment is causing premature rusting, which will eventually lead to failure of the floor, and the batteries may fall out. Also, all of the components in the compartment, including batteries, cables, binding posts, etc. are getting saturated with water which is causing corrosion and has the potential to cause an electrical short. The Dealer Service Center stated that this is how it’s designed and there is nothing that can be done to rectify it.
