We purchased this brand new Thor, Axis from Lazydays, Tampa in January of 2022. We have only used it once since taking delivery (the slide was broken at that time). It has been in and out of the shop for months at a time for over 3 years, for various items, including the "brain" (3 times), the outside jacks, the slider, cracke…

We purchased this brand new Thor, Axis from Lazydays, Tampa in January of 2022. We have only used it once since taking delivery (the slide was broken at that time). It has been in and out of the shop for months at a time for over 3 years, for various items, including the "brain" (3 times), the outside jacks, the slider, cracked windshield (while in service), severe water intrusion etc. The fact that this has been going on for so long and the response from Thor has been, "our only responsibility is to insure that you get service". No one wants this much service, expecially on something brand new. My husband is a Retired, 100% Disabled, Army Veteran and I can't tell you how this has stressed him. This is our 6th Camper and we have never had such a nightmare. Can you assist. We got it out of the shop yesterday....

Thor Motor Coach (TMC) is recalling certain 2018-2022 Axis 25.6 and 2018-2021 Vegas 25.6 motorhomes. The heat shield between the LP tank and chassis muffler was not installed.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A missing heat shield increases the risk of a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will install a heat shield, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed July 22, 2021. Owners may contact TMC customer service at 1-877-855-2867. TMC's number for this recall is RC000228.
