IN MAY OF '08 I BROUGHT THE MOTORCYCLE TO PICK UP OIL FOR THE 6000 KM OIL CHANGE. I INFORMED THE DEALER THAT THE REAR DISK WAS LOOSE. DID NOT HAVE IT REPLACED AT THIS TIME BECAUSE THE MOVEMENT WAS MARGINAL. THE DEALER STATED THAT IF IT GOT ANY WORSE WE SHOULD LOOK INTO IT. CHECKED THE BRAKE YESTERDAY AND REALIZED THAT THERE IS MORE MOVEMENT FORWARD AND BACKWARD AS WELL AS SIDE TO SIDE AND UP AND DOWN. SUZUKI HAS A NEW ROTOR THAT HAS A PART NUMBER SUPERSEDING THE ORIGINALLY INSTALLED PART NUMBER ON THE BIKE. THIS WOULD EITHER INDICATE THAT THERE WAS A PROBLEM WHICH HAS NOT YET BEEN ADDRESSED WITH THE CONSUMER OR THE PROBLEM IS RARE ENOUGH THAT THERE IS NO NEED. THE DEALER AND I HAVE CONTACTED SUZUKI TO PLACE A WARRANTY CLAIM TO HAVE THE REAR BRAKE ROTOR REPLACED. THE ROTOR MAKES A PIERCING NOISE WHEN THE PEDAL IS APPLIED AND HAS SOME VIBRATION (POSSIBLY THE CAUSE OF THE NOISE). THIS IS QUITE EMBARRASSING. LET'S HOPE THEY REPLACE THE ROTOR. *TR
