THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND STOPPED THE VEHICLE. THE RADIO SPEAKER IN THE BACKSEAT CAUGHT ON FIRE, WHICH SPREAD TO THE ENTIRE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED…

TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2010 SUZUKI KAZASHI. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 15 MPH, THE CONTACT NOTICED A SMOKE ODOR FROM THE RADIO SPEAKERS NEAR THE BACK SEATS OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT PULLED OVER AND STOPPED THE VEHICLE. THE RADIO SPEAKER IN THE BACKSEAT CAUGHT ON FIRE, WHICH SPREAD TO THE ENTIRE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED AND DEEMED TOTALED. A REPORT WAS FILED WITH THE FIRE DEPARTMENT. THE CONTACT DID NOT RECEIVE ANY INJURIES. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 115,000. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE.
