MY SUZUKI 1500 INTRUDER MOTORCYCLE'S EMISSIONS SYSTEM FAILED. I NOTICED SMELL OF GASOLINE ABOUT THE VEHICLE. UPON INSPECTION I FOUND A BAD WELD IN THE SEAM ON THE GAS TANK AT THE FRONT RIGHT MOUNTING TAB. FOR SOME REASON THE TANK SEEMS TO BE UNDER STRESS AT THAT POINT, THAT COMBINED WITH A DEFECTIVE SEAM WELD AT THAT LOCATION CAUSED A LEAK A THAT POINT. I HAVE TEMPORARILY REPAIRED THE TANK BY REMOVING THE BOLT FROM THAT AREA RELIEVING THE STRESS AND COVERED THE LEAKING AREA WITH EPOXY TO STOP THE GAS LEAK. I HAVE SEVERAL OTHER FRIENDS THAT HAVE EXPERIENCED THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM AND CAN PUT YOU IN CONTACT WITH THEM IF YOU LIKE. *JB
