1.) AT THIS POINT THERE IS NO FAILURE...YET. 2.) MY 2006 SUZUKI GSXR 750 AND 2006 SUZUKI GSXR 600 MOTORCYCLES HAVE SEVERE ON/OFF THROTTLE RESPONSE. WHEN APPLYING THROTTLE NO MATTER HOW MUCH AND/OR HOW SMOOTH THE APPLICATION IS, MOTORCYCLE HAS A ABRUPT RESPONSE. PROBLEM IS ALSO VERY BAD WHEN GETTING OF THE THROTTLE ALSO. BY SAYING "ABRUPT" MOTORCYCLE DOES NOT ACCELERATE OR DECELERATE SMOOTHLY. IF NOT DONE AT THE UTMOST CARE, OPERATOR CAN BE VERY EASILY BE THROWN OFF AND/OR SEVERELY EFFECT THE BALANCE OF THE MOTORCYCLE THEREFORE CAUSING INJURY,PROPERTY DAMAGE AND POSSIBLE DEATH. MOTORCYCLE CANNOT MAINTAIN SMOOTH/CONSTANT SPEED SMOOTHLY. DID NOTICE THE PROBLEM IN SPRING OF 2006 BUT THOUGHT IT WAS NORMAL UNTIL RECENTLY HAD A CHANCE TO RIDE A DIFFERENT MOTORCYCLE AND ALSO AFTER SOME RESEARCHING. I ALSO RECENTLY PURCHASED ANOTHER SAME TYPE MOTORCYCLE (GSXR 600) AND PROBLEM IS VERY APPARENT ALSO. NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE TO CORRECT THIS PROBLEM. *TR

13V449000 · Service Brakes

Oct 18, 2013

Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (Suzuki) is recalling certain model year 2004-2013 GSX-R600 and GSX-R750, and model year 2005-2013 GSX-R1000 motorcycles. In combination with older brake fluid, corrosion of the brake piston inside of the front brake master cylinder generates gas that may result in a reduction of fluid pressure transmission to the front brake.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: As a result, front braking power may be reduced increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Suzuki will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front brake master cylinder, free of charge. The recall began on November 18, 2013. Owners may contact Suzuki at 1-800-572-1490. Suzuki's campaign numbers for this recall are: 2A (31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36).
