THE FIRST TIME I HAD MY PROBLEM I WAS IN MOTION WHEN THE RECTIFIER BURNED UP AND THE RECTIFIER AND STATOR WENT OUT I PUSHED IT HOME, 2 YEARS AFTER THAT IN THE SPRING I PUT MY BATTERY BACK IN IT FIRED IT UP AND POOF THE RECTIFIER BURNS UP AND NOW 8/6/20 BIKE QUIT RUNNING BOUGHT A NEW BATTERY AND STILL WONT START I CHECKED THE RECTIFIER AND IT LOOKS GOOD DON'T LOOK OR SMELL FRIED AND THAT MEANS THE STATOR IS OUT AGAIN. THIS HAS TO BE AN ON GOING PROBLEM I'M SURE I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE GOING THROUGH RECTIFIER AND STATORS MORE THEN BRAKES AND TIRES I DON'T KNOW WHAT'S REALLY GOING ON WITH THE STATOR ISSUE BUT THE WAY THE RECTIFIER IS MOUNTED IT'S IN BETWEEN THE RADIATOR AND ENGINE WHERE IT GETS HOT THAT NEEDS REMOUNTED ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE FRAME AWAY FROM THE HEAT PLUS THE BIKE IS COMPLETELY STOCK SO I SHOULDN'T BE HAVING THIS MANY PROBLEMS

13V449000 · Service Brakes

Oct 18, 2013

Suzuki Motor of America, Inc. (Suzuki) is recalling certain model year 2004-2013 GSX-R600 and GSX-R750, and model year 2005-2013 GSX-R1000 motorcycles. In combination with older brake fluid, corrosion of the brake piston inside of the front brake master cylinder generates gas that may result in a reduction of fluid pressure transmission to the front brake.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: As a result, front braking power may be reduced increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Suzuki will notify owners, and dealers will replace the front brake master cylinder, free of charge. The recall began on November 18, 2013. Owners may contact Suzuki at 1-800-572-1490. Suzuki's campaign numbers for this recall are: 2A (31, 32, 33, 34, 35, and 36).
