THE SEATBELT LATCHPLATE AND SOME LAP BELT WEBBING RIDES ON THE ABDOMEN OF ADULT OCCUPANTS, RATHER THAN LOW ACROSS THE HIPS AS A SEATBELT IS SUPPOSED TO FIT. THE SEATBELT LATCHPLATE AND SOME LAP BELT WEBBING RIDES ON THE ABDOMEN OF ADULT OCCUPANTS, RATHER THAN LOW ACROSS THE HIPS AS A SEATBELT IS SUPPOSED TO FIT. THE UPPER EDGE OF THE MALE SEATBELT LATCHPLATE DIGS INTO THE WEARER'S ABDOMEN AT THE LOWER RIB MARGIN. IMPROPERLY POSITIONED SEATBELTS IS UNCOMFORTABLE AND IS A WELL DOCUMENTED CAUSE OF PREVENTABLE CRASH INJURIES. *TR
