2022 Subaru Outback

The contact owns a 2022 Subaru Outback. The contact stated he had taken the vehicle to the dealer for standard maintenance. When parked, the contact noticed that smoke was coming from underneath the vehicle. A loud popping noise occurred then a fire started underneath the hood of the vehicle. The fire quickly spread. The fire department extinguished the fire. There was no damage. There were no injuries and medical attention was not needed. A fire/police report was filed. As I was driving on a rural road going 45 mph I heard a sudden explosion in my car. I thought a bomb exploded in my car because there was glass all over me. There is no visible chip or other damage that would indicate debris struck the windshield. The vehicle has less than 18k miles on it and is parked in a garage 95% of the time it is not in use. The crack has continued to spread since the first day and now covers half of the windshields length.
