TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 ROADMASTER R EXECUTIVE/SIGNATURE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THE BRAKES CAUGHT FIRE AND SMOKE BELLOWED FROM BOTH REAR WHEELS. TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2001 ROADMASTER R EXECUTIVE/SIGNATURE. WHILE DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 20 MPH, THE BRAKES CAUGHT FIRE AND SMOKE BELLOWED FROM BOTH REAR WHEELS. A MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THAT THE MAXI VALVE FAILED AND HAD 20% TO 30% PRESSURE ON THE WHEEL THAT CAUSED HEAT WITHOUT WARNING. THE MAXI AIR VALVE SWITCH WAS REPLACED; HOWEVER, THERE WAS A POSSIBILITY THAT THE BRAKE ASSEMBLY SYSTEM WAS DAMAGED DUE TO THE HIGH HEAT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE ISSUE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 59,000.
