FROM THE DRIVERS PERSPECTIVE IT APPEARS NORMAL OTHER THAN HAVING LESS OR NO TENSION WHEN THE PARKING BRAKE LEVER IS APPLIED.OR RELEASED. WHEN THE CABLE IS FROZEN WHILE THE BRAKE IS DISENGAGED, THE BRAKE DOES NOT ENGAGE, SO THERE IS NO WAY TO PROPERLY PARK THE VEHICLE. WHEN FROZEN WHILE ENGAGED, THE BRAKE REMAINS ON OR ONLY PARTIALLY RELEASES WHICH CAUSES IT TO BE UNABLE TO MOVE THE VEHICLE OR THE BRAKE WILL DRAG AND OVERHEAT WHILE DRIVING. WE HAVE TWO OF THESE VEHICLES PURCHASED AT ABOUT THE SAME TIME FROM . ONE IN MINNESOTA AND THE OTHER IN TEXAS. BOTH HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM SO IT CLEARLY NOT AN ISOLATED PROBLEM. ONE COST US OVER $2000 TO FIX BECAUSE THE ENTIRE BRAKE ASSEMBLY BECAME OVERHEATED AND DESTROYED ALMOST ALL OF THE WHEEL COMPONENTS. I'VE ATTACHED THE INVOICE FOR THE REPAIRS. THIS IS VERY DANGEROUS! I HAVE NOT BROUGHT THIS UP EARLIER BECAUSE I WAS CERTAIN THAT IT WOULD BE RECALLED FOR THIS BY NOW. WE USE THESE FOR DELIVERIES AND NOW OUR MANAGER IN MINNESOTA WILL NOT OPERATE THE VAN IN THE WINTER FOR SAFETY REASONS. TODAY THE DRIVER HAS NOT BEEN ABLE TO USE THE PARKING BRAKE AT DELIVERY STOPS SO HAS TO FIND A PLACE TO PARK ON A HILL WITH THE WHEELS TOWARD THE CURB. THIS IS NOT A SAFE WAY TO PARK THE VEHICLE. NEITHER SHE NOR I INTENDED TO USE THE VEHICLE COMMERCIALLY YET THE TIRE PRESSURE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ON THIS IS SET TO KEEP THE REAR TIRES AT 72 PSI AND THE FRONTS AT 65 PSI, RIDICULOUSLY HIGH PRESSURES FOR A VEHICLE THAT WILL NEVER BE USED TO HAUL A LOAD. THE TIRES ON THIS VEHICLE ARE "C" RATED PASSENGER TIRES. THERE IS NO WAY FOR ME TO ADJUST THAT TO SOMETHING RELATED TO REAL-WORLD PHYSICS (MY BEST GUESS WOULD BE ROUGHLY 32 PSI ON ONE END AND, MAYBE, 35 PSI ON THE OTHER). WITHOUT BEING ABLE TO PARK ON A PIECE OF GLASS TO LOOK AT THE FOOT PRINT, I WOULD GUESS I ONLY HAVE ABOUT A 2/3 FOOTPRINT. IF SHE HAS AN EMERGENCY SITUATION, EVEN IF SHE'S ON DRY PAVEMENT, THE STOPPING DISTANCE IS PROBABLY MUCH GREATER THAN IT SHOULD BE. THE TIRE MOST LIKELY WILL ONLY WEAR DOWN THE MIDDLE OF THE TREAD, ASSUMING THERE ARE NO ALIGNMENT ISSUES. THE RIDE IS SO HARD I CAN'T VOUCH FOR THE LONGEVITY OF ELECTRONICS IN THIS VEHICLE AND THERE ARE PLENTY OF THEM. SHOCK IS THEIR WORST ENEMY. Prime-Time Specialty Vehicles (Prime-Time) is recalling certain 2014-2019 Paratransit vehicles equipped with 3.6L engines. The transmission shifter cable may separate and disconnect from the transmission, causing the vehicle to not perform shifts intended by the driver and the gear shift lever position not matching the actual transmission gear.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: The driver may be unaware of the actual gear position and unintended vehicle movement can occur, increasing the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Prime-Time will notify owners instructing them to take their vehicles to Ram dealers for the necessary repairs, free of charge. Owners may contact Prime-Time customer service at 1-574-293-9191. Prime-Time's number for this recall is W00.

New England Wheels (New England) is recalling certain 2014-2018 Ford Transit and 2014-2019 Ram Promaster 2500 and 3500 vehicles modified to be equipped with Freedman Go-ES Foldaway seats. When the back seat cushion is rotated from the stowed position to the upright position, the seat cushion may not remain locked into place when under load, such as in a crash or a sudden stop.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: In the event of a crash, if the seat back moves, the seat occupant has an increased risk of injury.
Remedy: New England has notified owners, directing them to contact Freedman for repairs to the foldaway seats, free of charge. The recall began May 27, 2019. Owners may contact Freedman customer service at 1-800-443-4540 or New England at 1-800-886-9247.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling various Dodge, Chrysler, and RAM vehicles equipped with Kidde Plastic-Handle or Push Button 'Pindicator' Fire Extinguishers. A list of the affected trailer models is available at: https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/rcl/2017/RMISC-17V824-0103.pdf. These extinguishers may become clogged, preventing the extinguisher from discharging as expected or requiring excessive force to activate the extinguisher. Additionally, in certain models, the nozzle may detach from the valve assembly with enough force that it could cause injury and also render the product inoperable. Consequence & remedy
Consequence: If the fire extinguisher does not function properly, it can increase the risk of injury in the event of a fire.

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2014-2017 Ram ProMaster vehicles. The sun visor, dashboard labels, and owner's manuals incorrectly state that the vehicles are equipped with frontal driver and passenger advanced air bags when they are not. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 208, "Occupant Crash Protection."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: The incorrect information may change how close the occupants position themselves to the air bags, increasing the risk of injury in the event of a crash.
Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will correct the sun visor labels, the dashboard (hangtag) label, and the owner's manual and user guide information, free of charge. Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain model year 2014-2015 Jeep Cherokee and 2015 Chrysler 200, Jeep Renegade, RAM ProMaster, and 2016 Fiat 500X vehicles equipped with 9-speed automatic transmissions. The transmission sensor clusters may have insufficient crimps in the transmission wire harness, and as a result, the transmission may unexpectedly shift to neutral. On August 29, 2016 Chrysler added the 2016 Fiat 500X vehicles to this recall.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: If the vehicle unexpectedly shifts to neutral, there is an increased risk of a crash.
Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, dealers will reprogram the Powertrain Control Module and the Transmission Control Module and if necessary replace the transaxle range sensor wire harness, free of charge. Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An intermittent loss of contact can result in a vehicle stall and/or a partial or complete loss of the air bags, anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control and/or instrument panel cluster. Loss of functionality of these systems may increase the risk of crash and/or increase the risk of injury in the event of a crash.

The affected cargo and passenger vehicles have side air bag inflatable curtains that, due to an installation issue, may not deploy properly. Consequence & remedy
Consequence: In the event of a crash, side air bag inflatable curtains that do not deploy properly may increase the risk of vehicle occupant injury.
Remedy: Chrysler will notify owners, and dealers will modify the installation of side air bag inflatable curtains , free of charge. The recall began on May 6, 2015. Owners may contact Chrysler customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler's number for this recall is R19.
