ACCELERATOR CABLE BROKE WHILE DRIVING ON A FREEWAY.
BRAKE ROTORS: AT 17000 TOOK IN BECAUSE OF GRINDING NOISE. NO PROBLEM FOUND. 24000 MILES TOOK IN AND HAD TO REPLACE REAR ROTORS AND ALL FOUR BRAKE PADS. 43000 MILES HAD ALL FOUR ROTORS REPALCED AND ALL THE BRAKE PADS AND A REAR CALIPER. DEALER SAYS THIS IS NORMAL. *AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 20 TO 25 WAS INVOLVED IN A DIRECT FRONTAL IMPACT. THERE WAS NO DEPLOYMENT OF DRIVER'S OR PASSENGER'S SIDE AIRBAGS. *AK
DUE TO LOCATION OF THE AIR BAG IT TAKES SIGNIFICANT EFFORT TO ACTIVATE THE HORN. TWO ACCIDENTS HAVE OCCURRED WHILE VEHICLE WAS NOT IN MOTION. *AK
THE VEHICLE'S ABS SYSTEM LIGHT CAME ON, DEALER SAID IT WAS AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM. ALSO WATER CAME UNDERNEATH THE VEHICLE. FOR THIS PROBLEM TO OCCUR VEHICLE HAD 2 ACCIDENTS DUE TO EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE WITHOUT ANY PRIOR WARNINGS. *AK
DISC BRAKE PADS AND ROTORS ON THE REAR FRONT HAD RUSTED, CAUSING LOSS OF BRAKING AND EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. *AK
THE VEHICLE WAS IDLING IN THE PARK POSITION AND THE VEHICLE CAUGHT ON FIRE UNDER THE CAR AROUND THE CONVERTER, THE VEHICLE WAS A TOTAL LOSS, CAUSE OF THE FIRE IS UNKNOWN. *AK

Consequence & remedy
Consequence: IN THE EVENT OF A VEHICLE CRASH, THE SEAT BELT SYSTEM CAN FRACTURE, INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURY TO THE SEAT OCCUPANT.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE CENTER REAR SEAT BELT SYSTEM.

SOME OF THESE VEHICLES HAVE A STRAINED OR SEPARATED WASHER/WIPER SWITCH POWER FEED WIRE.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THIS CAN CAUSE THE WINDSHIELD WASHER/WIPER TO WORK INTERMITTENTLY AND COULD ULTIMATELY RESULT IN INOPERATIVE WIPERS. IF THIS WERE TO OCCUR IN A SEVERE WEATHER SITUATION, DRIVER VISIBILITY COULD BE REDUCED, INCREASING THE RISK OF A VEHICLE CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND REPLACE THE OLD DESIGNED WASHER/WIPER SWITCHES WITH A NEWLY DESIGNED SWITCH.
