MY 2009 VESPA GTS 250 WILL NOT RE-START WHEN THE BIKE IS HOT. THIS HAPPENS EVERY TIME I RIDE THE BIKE FOR 30-45 MINUTES THEN STOP AND TURN OFF THE ENGINE. YOU MUST WAIT APPROXIMATELY ONE HOUR OR MORE FOR THE BIKE TO COOL BEFORE IT WILL RESTART. IT ALSO DIED ONCE WHILE I WAS RIDING IT IN THE MIDDLE OF A BUSY INTERSECTION IN WASHINGTON DC ON A HOT JULY DAY...VERY DANGEROUS! THE ONLY THING I HAVE DONE SO FAR IS TO LET THE BIKE COOL BEFORE RESTARTING OR TO ADD COOL GAS TO THE TANK TO BRING THE TEMPERATURE DOWN. I AM AFRAID OF RIDING IT TOO FAR AND GETTING STRANDED OR TAKING IT ON THE HIGHWAY AND IT DYING ON ME. *TR

FAILURE OCCURRED WITH 1/2 TANK OF GAS AND 600 TOTAL MILES ON ODOMETER. DEALER DIAGNOSE FAILURE AS FUEL PUMP. FUEL PUMP FAILED AGAIN AT DEALER AFTER 30 MINUTES OF IDLING.
