36 reportsWHILE PULLING OUT OF DRIVEWAY ONTO THE HIGHWAY, RIGHT THERE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE HIGHWAY THE ABS BRAKES LOCKED AND THE BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON. THEN AFTER GIVING THE AUTO SOME GAS, THE ANTI-LOCK BRAKE LIGHTS CAME ON. THERE WERE BOTH WARNING LIGHTS ON AT ONCE. *AK
OWNER STATES THAT VEHICLE MANIFESTS EXCESSIVE BRAKE WEAR, MOSTLY WITH THE FRONT BRAKE ROTORS. ALSO, OWNER NOTES THAT THIS WAS THE THIRD SET OF ROTORS HE HAD REPLACED. *AK
SUDDEN ACCELERATION, CAUSING ACCIDENT.
FAILURE ON THE ON THE ABS BRAKE SENSOR, THE BRAKE SENSOR IS INOPERATIVE, CAUSING THE BRAKES TO GRAB WHEN DRIVING. *AK
SAFETY WARNING SYSTEM WAS NOT INSTALLED PROPERLY FOR THE ABS BRAKES. THERE IS NO WAY OF TELLING IF SOMETHING IS WRONG WITH THE BRAKES .
CONSUMER STATES THAT WHEN SHE APPLIES THE BRAKES THAT THEY SQUEAK HORRIBLY AND MAKE A LOUD SCREECHING NOISE. THE SYSTEM HAS ABS. *AK

Consequence & remedy
Consequence: IN THE EVENT OF A VEHICLE CRASH, THE SEAT BELT SYSTEM CAN FRACTURE, INCREASING THE RISK OF INJURY TO THE SEAT OCCUPANT.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL REPLACE THE CENTER REAR SEAT BELT SYSTEM.

SOME OF THESE VEHICLES HAVE A STRAINED OR SEPARATED WASHER/WIPER SWITCH POWER FEED WIRE.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: THIS CAN CAUSE THE WINDSHIELD WASHER/WIPER TO WORK INTERMITTENTLY AND COULD ULTIMATELY RESULT IN INOPERATIVE WIPERS. IF THIS WERE TO OCCUR IN A SEVERE WEATHER SITUATION, DRIVER VISIBILITY COULD BE REDUCED, INCREASING THE RISK OF A VEHICLE CRASH.
Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT AND REPLACE THE OLD DESIGNED WASHER/WIPER SWITCHES WITH A NEWLY DESIGNED SWITCH.
