BRAKING SYSTEM MALFUNCTIONED, CAUSING EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE. ALSO, WINDSHIELD WIPERS COME ON WHEN USING THE TURN SIGNAL, OR IF THE VEHICLE GOES OVER ANY BUMPS. PLEASE PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
BRAKE SPEED SENSOR WOULD LOCK AND VEHICLE WOULD ACCELERATE. WOULD TAKE AWAY THE BRAKING ABILITY OF THE VEHICLE WHEN IT WAS NEEDED. *AK
WHEN APPLYING THE ABS BRAKES IN NORMAL BRAKING CONDITIONS PEDAL RESISTS AND BECOMES HARD, RESULTING IN EXTENDED STOPPING DISTANCE, CAUSE UNKNOWN. PLEASE GIVE ANY FURTHER DETAILS. *AK
WHILE TRYING TO STOP VEHICLE BRAKE PEDAL DOESN'T LOSE PRESSURE. BUT WHEN APPLYING BRAKES, VEHICLE JUST KEEPS ROLLING AND HAS TO COAST TO A STOP. DEALER HAS BEEN CONTACTED, AND HAS BEEN UNABLE TO LOCATE THE PROBLEM. *AK *ML
WITHOUT WARNING THE BRAKES FAILED, THE PEDAL WENT ALL THE WAY DOWN AND I BARELY AVOIDED A REAR-ENDER
FRONT BRAKE DISK FAILED.
INTEMITTENTLY WHEN THE BRAKES ARE APPLIED THE PEDAL BECOMES HARD, CAUSING THE VEHICLE SURGE. THE DEALER IS INSPECTING THE VEHICLE. *AK
SINCE VEHICLE WAS PURCHASED HAD BEEN IN & OUT DEALER FOR ABS BRAKES. THEY FAIL TO STOP VEHICLE PROPERLY. MAKE A LOT OF NOISE WHEN APPLIED. BRAKE PEDAL GOES TO THE FLOOR. ALSO PREMATURE WEAR OF LEFT FRONT BRAKE PADS. *AK

THESE VEHICLES WERE SHIPPED WITH THE WRONG OWNER'S MANUAL, AND, THEREFORE, THE CORRECT INFORMATION REGARDING SAFETY BELT USAGE IS NOT AVAILABLE TO THE OWNER. THIS DOES NOT CONFORM WITH FMVSS NO. 209, "SEAT BELT ASSEMBLIES."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: UNBELTED OCCUPANTS OR OCCUPANTS USING SAFETY BELTS INCORRECTLY ARE MORE AT RISK OF INJURY THAN THOSE USING THE SAFETY BELT IN THE CORRECT MANNER IN THE EVENT OF A SUDDEN STOP OR ACCIDENT.
Remedy: OWNERS AND OLDSMOBILE DEALERS ARE BEING MAILED THE CORRECT 1994 OLDSMOBILE BRAVURA OWNER'S MANUAL AND WILL BE ASKED TO INSTALL IT IN THE INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPARTMENT AND REMOVE AND DISCARD THE INCORRECT OWNER'S MANUAL.
