The heat in my vehicle only works on the passenger side. It does not blow out warm or hot on the driver's side. This is due to a stripped actuator in the blend door. Yes, it is available for inspection upon request. I live in Colorado where it gets very cold. Because the heat doesn't work on the driver's side, the windshield doesn't defrost well. This is a hazard because I cannot see through my windshield when I'm driving and it's cold out. Yes, this problem was inspected and confirmed by a local Nissan Dealer in Lakewood, Colorado. There are no warning messages. There are a LOT of other people having this exact same problem. See some of the blogs below. There are also some YouTube videos... check out the comments for even more people experiencing the same issue. Within 2 months of purchasing our Rogue, I experienced uncontrolled acceleration as I was increasing speed to get onto a very fast flowing highway. I was able to put my foot under the pedal and physically force it back to "normal" operation position and the uncontrolled acceleration stopped. I had the car towed to the dealership the next morning where they did a "full system recalibration". So far, this particular issue has not occurred again yet, I do have concerns still as it seems that the car does not always respond correctly/immediate to acceleration now. Additionally, I have experienced the entire center console turning itself off/shutting down and nothing can bring it back up until it wants to. No stopping and turning off the engine, not turning it off and back on, etc. Also have now experienced the car turning itself off when coming to a stop sign, or coming to a stop on the highway due to traffic - please note these are NOT high-speed stopping events, but occurred with regular braking in slow stop and go traffic or neighborhood driving speeds (30mph or less) - this has happened 4 times now. When taken to the dealership recently I was told there "was an update for the computer" but that it would take them 5 hours (five) to download the file and then one hour to transmit/upload it to my vehicle and that it had to be done there. I informed them I would need to return at a later date to do so. Turns out according to a different dealer across town - you can do that at home on your own WiFi... but they wouldn't tell me how. No communication yet from Nissan regarding any of this.

I was driving the vehicle and stopped at a Sonic drive thru. I shifted the car into park and I began to hear a very loud creaking noise. When I shifted the car into drive, the car wouldn’t move. I called a Firestone mechanic and he concluded that it was the CV belt that is connected to the transmission. Regardless, only a transmission shop could handle this issue. I called CARMAX AUTO, and spoke with a JASON HEWITT. Mr Hewitt informed me that CarMax will have a tow truck come get the car. The following day, the car was towed by CarMax to Amaco for an official diagnostic. I was notified the following day that my vehicle had a damaged axle and appears to have been cause by a “car accident.” Mr Hewitt told me to file a claim in my insurance. I told Mr Hewitt that most likely the tow company damaged my axle. He stated he didnt know what exactly caused it but they will not be able to address the transmission issue until this axle and converter is paid for. Additionally, I’ve had the car for 14 months and 6 months into my lease agreement, the check engine light came and stayed on due the catalytic converter. The air and heat stopped working in September of 2023.

As I am steering, the horn goes off at any moment for a long period of time distracting many drivers and scaring them half to death on the road ! This is an incident that has been going on for a while, and there are many other people that I have came across with the same problem. This is my only car and I have no idea who to turn to, but the amount of money for a Nissan that is in great condition and has never been in an accidents seems to have allot of electrical failures.
Nissan North America, Inc. (Nissan) is recalling certain 2014-2020 Rogue and 2017-2022 Rogue Sport vehicles equipped with a jackknife style ignition key. The jackknife key may collapse into a folded position while driving.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Driver contact with a key in the collapsed position could inadvertently shut off the vehicle while driving, increasing the risk of a crash. Additionally, if the vehicle shuts off while driving, the air bags may not deploy in a crash as intended, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will insert a spacer into the key slot of the jackknife key, free of charge. Interim notification letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed March 29, 2023. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 30, 2023. Owners may contact Nissan's customer service at 1-800-867-7669. Nissan's number for this recall is R22C5.
