On oct 17,2025. While driving 35 mph on my to drop off my niece to her doctor appointment. My new 2024 Nissan rogue started to shake and engine light started to blank and cut off power and stopped on the road. Putting our lives at risk for accident on the road. Error Code : P2563 and P2565. I took it to the Dealership Antwerpen Nissan in clarksville, MD. Were I purchased the car brand new in 2024. The system check showed that Nissan Turbo had failed a defective safety recall and I need a New engine for my car after less then 1 year. The dealership would not honor this dangerous safety recall issue from Nissan has on the Turbo engine as there is a active recall on 2022 - 2024 Nissan rogue on the VC- Turbo Engine. Nissan and Antwerpen Nissan have not given me any help to fix this defective turbo engine that is putting a lot of drivers like myself at safety risk for a accident on the road. I would like to file a complaint in this matter to get it resolved and fixed on my 2024 Nissan rogue SV with a new Turbo . To fix the defective recall VC- Turbo from Nissan. To Whom It May Concern, I am filing a vehicle safety complaint regarding a sudden and complete failure of the Body Control Module (BCM) in my 2015 Nissan Rogue. This failure has resulted in a complete "no-start" condition, rendering the vehicle inoperable without warning. The problem occurred on or about [Date of Breakdown, if known]. The vehicle would not start, despite the ignition powering on. A professional diagnosis was performed, which confirmed that the Body Control Module had failed and was not sending the required signal to the Intelligent Power Distribution Module (IPDM) to allow the vehicle to start. The technician's notes state: "FOUND NO SIGNAL FROM BCM TO IPDM TO START VEHICLE." I have since learned that this is a known manufacturer issue, documented in Nissan Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) NTB16-024, titled "No Start, MIL ON, DTC U1000, U1010, C110A, P1614, P1615, P1630, P1631 (Reprogram BCM or Replace IPDM)." The diagnosis and attempted repair on my vehicle perfectly match the procedure outlined in this TSB. Safety Concern: While a"no-start" condition may not seem like a traditional safety hazard, the sudden and unpredictable nature of this failure presents a significant safety risk. A vehicle that becomes completely inoperable without warning can strand drivers and passengers in potentially dangerous situations, such as: · In the middle of intersections or busy roadways. · In isolated areas with no access to help. · During extreme weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, storms). · While transporting individuals with medical needs. The failure of a critical electronic component like the BCM, which is responsible for numerous vehicle functions, at only 50,000 miles indicates a serious and potentially widespread defect in materials or workmanship. I am requesting that the NHTSA investigate this failure pattern in 2014-2016 Nissan Rogue vehicles.existence of a TSB and numerous complaints from other owners online suggest a major defect.

I own a 2016 Nissan Rogue. VIN: [XXX] . The transmission system (power train) is malfunctioning, showing fault code P17F1 and symptoms of slipping, delayed acceleration, and a heavy ride. The issue is intermittent but recurring. The vehicle is available for inspection upon request. Safety is compromised during highway merging, uphill driving, and stop-and-go traffic. The vehicle hesitates or drags, which could lead to collisions or loss of control in high-speed or congested conditions. Passport Nissan Alexandria confirmed squirrel damage in August 2021, tied to Nissan’s use of soy-based wire insulation. They wrapped the wires with rat tape and recommended cayenne pepper, which I’ve consistently used. Despite these measures, the vehicle now shows signs of electrical instability affecting transmission performance. The original damage was confirmed by the dealership. The current issue has not yet been reproduced by a dealer or independent service center. I have submitted a warranty exception request to Nissan Consumer Affairs and Executive Consumer Affairs and requested a full diagnostic review. No warning lamps appeared prior to the failure. The symptoms began in early 2024 and have occurred multiple times since. The fault code was retrieved using an OBD-II scanner. This issue reflects a broader manufacturer vulnerability tied to material choices that attract rodents and create long-term electrical risk. Documentation includes a timestamped Facebook post and a dealership confirmation. INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6)

Our car is currently at the dealership again, (2nd time) for this particular issue that we feel is a safety issue. We are still experiencing an issue with the lift gate. It is coming down at random times, often coming down on us. The sensor always beeps (so far) so you have a very short warning before it comes down on you. However, when it comes down, it takes alot to stop it (force). Even though it meets resistance with putting up our hands to stop it, it takes quite a bit to make it halt. It has also come down with my back to the car, with no motion under the sensor (no feet under the car to trigger the sensor). I do not have a video of it however I do have someone who witnessed it. We are not sure if this is related to the other electrical issues we are having. We've been experiencing issues with it being hard to start, the complete computer screen going blank (on video) or car changes randomly the temperature and shuts down the radio randomly. We were told yesterday that they were able to duplicate the issue and acknowledged that the gate came down "hard" not fast, but does not respond quickly when coming against opposing pressure. However, today we were contacted and told that Nissan wanted them to test other cars on the lot for the same issue, and now they are telling us that those cars respond the same way ours does, (very sensitive- she did not mention anything about them coming down hard.) However, the loaner car they gave us was also a 2025 Nissan Rouge and we have NOT had that issue with it. The hatch opens and closes without issue. The computer has not malfunctioned or completely went blank. It has not been hard to start, nor has the computer malfunctioned-shutting the radio off or changing the temperature information. It was recommended that maybe to "shut off" the lift gate and raise it by hand. However, we find it a little "rich" of the dealership to even "go there" as the car is 10 months old! We would like it to be fixed.

The car door lock actuator failed prematurely. Part should last 10 to 20 years. It's not locking the door or if it is locked it won't let you in or out. Big issue regarding safety. I know past models had a recall. Unfortunately haven't heard anything on it for my model year. Getting repair done for my own safety out of pocket.

NHTSA Complaint Statement Vehicle Information 2018 Nissan Rogue SL AWD VIN: [XXX] Component Affected Power Train – Rear Differential / AWD Electric Coupling Assembly Summary of Problem The rear differential electric coupling assembly failed, causing AWD malfunction and unsafe driving conditions. Nissan issued Technical Service Bulletin NTB20-069 acknowledging this defect on 2014-2020 Rogue AWD vehicles built before certain VINs. My vehicle’s VIN is within the affected build range, yet I was told it is not covered because it is “not part of the recall.” Safety Concerns Failure of the AWD coupling affects vehicle handling, especially in wet or slippery conditions, creating a significant safety hazard. Request I believe this issue should be treated as a formal recall so that affected owners are not left with expensive, unsafe repairs for a known defect. My rear hatch door will not open manually or automatically due to torrential downpour that leaked into the rear hatch door while fully closed and locked. That rain water made its way into the electrical component causing the door to no longer operate or even open. The dealership is aware of the issue with several other vehicles of the same year make and model and have not put a recall out to fix the issue. So here I am, reporting the issue to you now in hopes to get a recall put out there so myself and other 2017 Nissan rogue owners can have the issue resolved. For the record, we have my car serviced every 5,000 miles so there were plenty of opportunities for the dealership to make us aware that there was the 1st issue on this car back in 2021, but they did not tell us or even ask if they could fix a known issue.
