I took my Rogue into a mechanic shop for a juddering/grinding noise when turning at low speeds. Upon further investigation, the mechanic found a recall (NTB20-069) for the AWD. This recall is the exact issue I am currently having with my car and they are stating there is no open recall on my VIN. I am writing in to note that the issue applies to more cars than just the ones on the bulletin. They also repaired a recall for the automatic braking system 6 years ago. The system was replaced but only lasted 5 years because that is when they assumed the 100,000 mile warranty would be over and owners would need to pay to replace it.

The vehicle is experiencing a serious door locking malfunction. Even after the car is locked, the doors repeatedly attempt to lock again every few seconds. During this time, the horn sounds and the lights flash continuously, as if the vehicle is trying to re-lock itself but failing. This behavior continues repeatedly. This issue raises serious safety concerns for the following reasons: •The vehicle may not be securely locking. •The repeated locking attempts may indicate a failure in the door lock actuator or body control system. •The malfunction could potentially cause the doors to unlock unexpectedly. •The constant horn and light activity drains the battery and creates public disturbance. The problem occurs intermittently but frequently enough to cause concern. There have been no recent modifications made to the vehicle. I am requesting that the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) investigate this issue to determine whether it is a widespread defect affecting other 2015 Nissan Rogue vehicles. Vehicle Details: •Make: Nissan •Model: Rogue •Year: 2015 •Mileage: 127,000 miles •VIN: [XXX] Thank you for your attention to this matter. 2008-13 Nissan Rogue/2014 Rogue Select (S35) Driver’s Kick Panel Harness Connector Inspection Voluntary Safety Recall Campaign Reference: R1421 I spoke with Nissan and the recall does not cover my VIN number however I had previously owned a 2015 Nissan Altima and experienced the same issue. My car will be serviced on 2/24/26 with a Nissan Dealership in Hampton, VA for repairs related to this issue. My daughter drives the car while she is away at college. The issue began a few weeks ago when snow and rain occurred and now the bluetooth is going out and now the check engine light appears. I'm pretty certain this VIN should be included in the recall previously issued. The car maybe out of warranty but this appears to be a manufacturer related problem. I'm attaching current video.

This can cause some unexpected visibility issues while turning. Also, when turning the headlights from "Auto" to the "Off" position the windshield wipers will turn on. The wipers will stay on until you Switch back to "Auto". These problems are repeatable. I plan to contact the Nissan Dealer to see how much a multifunction switch replacement would cost.

The front passenger car door failed to lock. It is considered a safety issue as it can leave the vehicle vulnerable to theft and may also pose a risk while driving if the door opens unexpectedly. It's important to address this problem promptly to ensure safety and security. There were no warning messages indicating the failed lock. I just happened to pull the handle and that door opened when all other doors remained locked. Prior to this discovery, I had experienced an incident where someone went through my car and took out valuables (coins and cash) but I was unaware that the door was not locking. Once the issue was identified, I took the car to the dealership for diagnosis, and the issue was a short in the door lock actuator (4 door 2018 Nissan Rouge). I took the car in for immediate diagnosis and costly repair ($852.03) as I did not feel comfortable driving or parking a car which could not be locked. (I am unable to upload the repair invoice, tried as a pdf and jpeg.)

Driver display, dash, lights all shut off randomly! Bluetooth disconnects. Reconnects right away. Like if it has a short. Does this especially on long trips.
