I HAD TO HAVE THE TIMING CHAIN REPLACED ON MY VEHICLE AT A COST OF $1550. NISSAN PUT PLASTIC GUIDES FOR THE TIME CHAIN KNOWING THEY WOULD WEAR DOWN CAUSING THE CONSUMER AN ADDITIONAL COST TO REPLACE THIS WAY EARLIER THAN MOST VEHICLES. AFTER THE REPAIR WORK THE NISSAN MECHANIC SHOWED ME THE PLASTIC GUIDES AND THERE WAS ALMOST NOTHING LEFT OF IT. VERY SCARY TO THINK WHAT WOULD OF HAPPENED IF I WAS DRIVING THE VEHICLE WHEN THE PLASTIC GUIDE WORE OUT. THIS COULD OF CAUSE SERIOUS HARM TO SOMEONE IF IT HAD COMPLETELY WARN DOWN WHILE DRIVING. NISSAN KNEW THIS AND HAS DONE NOTHING TO FIX THE PROBLEM AS ALL OWNERS OF THEIR VEHICLES ARE FORCES TO PAY THE DELIBERATE COST TO HAVE THE VERY EXPENSIVE OUT OF POCKET REPLACEMENT WORK DONE.
ABOUT 10000 MILES AGO AIRBAG LIGHT STARTED CONTINUOUSLY BLINKING WITH A POSSIBLE B1054 COMPUTER CODE. $1300 REPAIR!
GAS GAUGE DOES NOT REGISTER ACCURATELY. EXAMPLE BEING WHEN TANK IS EMPTY IT STILL READS 1 QUARTER FULL.
COOLANT GOT MIXED IN WITH TRANSMISSION FLUID AND TRUCK STOPPED RUNNING.

MY NAME IS MRS.[XXX]. ON 5.29.2019, MY VEHICLE'S TRANSMISSION FAILED AS A RESULT OF A MANUFACTURING DEFECT. I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO AAMCO AND HAD IT REPAIRED AT A COST OF $5,258.45 . WHILE MY VEHICLE WAS BEING REPAIRED I DISCOVERED THERE ARE NUMEROUS TAX PAYING CONSUMERS WHO HAVE EXPERIENCED THE SAME MECHANICAL FAILURE. I, ALSO, DISCOVERED DESPITE KNOWING ABOUT THIS PROBLEM, NISSAN HAS REFUSED AND/OR FAILED TO RECALL THESE VEHICLES OR NOTIFY THE OWNERS ABOUT THESE POTENTIAL DANGERS. HAD THE CORPORATION NOTIFIED THE OWNERS THE MAJOR TRANSMISSION. FAILURE COULD HAVE BEEN AVERTED WITH A SIMPLE PROCEDURE AT A COST OF $700- $1,000 . INSTEAD THE COMPANY KEPT SILENT ABOUT THE ISSUES. AS A RESULT AMERICAN CONSUMERS HAVE BEEN FOOTING THE BILL FOR NISSAN'S DEFECT, TO THE TOON OF THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS. I CONTACTED NISSAN'S CEO SEEKNG REIMBURSEMENT FOR THE $5,258.45 OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES IT TOOK TO FIX NISSAN'S MANUFACTURING DEFECT. I WAS REFERRED TO THE CONSUMER AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT BY CEO HIROTO SARKAWA. CONSUMER AGENT [XXX] ID # [XXX] INITIALLY DENIED MY REQUEST VERBALLY ALLEGING THAT BECAUSE I TOOK MY VEHICLE TO AN OUTSIDE MECHANIC I AM NOT ELIGIBLE FOR REREIMBURSEMENT. HOWEVER IN WRITING SHE CLAIMED NISSAN WAS UNABLE TO OFFER FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE WITH THE REPAIR OF THE TRANSMISSION DUE TO THE VEHICLE BEING OUTSIDE OF YOUR NEW VEHICLE LIMITED WARRANTY INFORMATION REDACTED PURSUANT TO THE FREEDOM OF INFORMATION ACT (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6). *TR
WHILE REPLACING THE TRUCK BED FOR RUST WE DISCOVERED THE FRAME IS RUSTED ALMOST IN HALF IN MULTIPLE SPOTS. FRAME WAS NOT SPRAYED TO PREVENT RUST. SPAYED TO PREVENT RUST IN THE PICTURES WAS DONE BY US.
AT 132,000 MILES MY TRANSMISSION AND RADIATOR FAILED AT THE SAME TIME. I HAVE COME TO UNDERSTAND THAT THIS IS A KNOWN DEFECT IN NISSANS. I DID NOT KNOW THIS WAS AN ONGOING PROBLEM WITH NISSANS. THE COST TO REPAIR IS GOING TO BE MORE THAN $5000. THIS IS TERRIBLE.
