I WAS DRIVING ON THE INTERSTATE AT 70MPH WHEN I HEARD A LOUD NOISE UNDER THE HOOD. WITHIN SECONDS THE RED PAINT TURNED BLACK IN THE HOOD'S CENTER. AS I ATTEMPTED TO GET TO THE SHOULDER, SMALL DEBRIS WAS FALLING FROM MY CAR. PILLARS OF DARK BLACK SMOKE OBSTRUCTED MY VIEW. I WAS ABLE TO NEGOTIATE THE TRAFFIC AND GET OFF THE FREEWAY. I IMMEDIATELY TURNED OFF THE VEHICLE AND RAN TO A SAFE DISTANCE. WITHIN A MINUTES THE INTERIOR WAS FULLY ENGULFED IN FLAMES. WHEN THE FIRE DEPARTMENT ARRIVED THE CAR WAS A TOTAL LOSS. IGNITION SWITCH WILL BE AN EXPENSIVE REPAIR, OTHER COMPLAINTS WERE MADE ON THIS SITE. *AK
DESIGN LOCATION OF THE HORN WAS INSIDE A VERTICAL METAL SHAFT POINTING TOWARD THE DRIVER WITH A BAFFLE UNDERSIDE TO KEEP OUT ROAD DIRT, CONSUMER RELOCATED DUE TO POOR PERFORMANCE.
NO DEPLOYMENT OF DRIVER/PASSENGER'S AIR BAGS DURING A COLLISION. ALSO, DISTRIBUTOR HOUSING NOT OPERATING PROPERLY/ AIR CONDITIONER CLUTCH WENT OUT/CARPET ON FLOORBOARD WILL NOT STAY ATTACHED, AND ARM REST CRACKED AND BROKE OFF. *AK
KEY STUCK IN IGNITION SWITCH AND COULD NOT BE REMOVED. HAD TO DISCONNECT BATTERY BECAUSE COULD NOT TURN THE VEHICLE OFF. BRAKE LIGHT CAME ON WHILE DRIVING TO WORK AND TOOK TO DEALER, AND WAS TOLD THAT FRONT BRAKE PADS WERE WORN, ROTORS RESURFACED. *AK
CONSUMER COULDN'T GET KEY OUT OF THE ELECTRICAL IGNITION . *AK
THE COMPUTER SYSTEM IN THE VEHICLE DOES NOT WORK AND IT SHUTS OFF THE VEHICLE AND CAUSES IT TO DECELERATE AUTOMATICALLY. TT
