NO ACCIDENTS YET BUT I AM AFRAID I WILL CAUSE A SERIOUS ACCIDENT WITH THIS PROBLEM. I THINK MY CAR SHOULD BE RECALLED AND HAVE THID PROBLEM FIXED. *AK
WHILE IN THE STORE SHOPPING WALKED OUT, AND CAR LOOKED LIKE STEAM COMING FROM IT, FROM THE COLOR OF THE SMOKE. CONSUMER GOT CLOSER AND NOTICED BUBBLING IN THE HOOD AND DISCOLORIZATION. IT WAS A FIRE IN THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. CONSUMER FELT THAT FIRE STARTED FROM THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER.*AK
WHILE DRIVING AT 50MPH ON A BRIDGE VEHICLE JUST COMPLETELY STOPPED. NO POWER STEERING, NO ANYTHING. DEALER NOT AWARE OF PROBLEM. PROBLEM STILL EXISTS. PROVIDE FURTHER INFORMATION. *AK
VEHICLE INTERMITENTLY BUCKS VIOLENTLY BETWEEN 45-65 MPH, DEALER COULD NOT RECTIFY PROBLEM AND REPLACED TIMING CHAIN, PROBLEM STILL EXISTS.

WIFE CAME HOME FROM WORK PARKED CAR IN GARAGE SHUT IT OFF,WENT INTO HOUSE CHANGE CLOTHES LOOKED OUT WINDOW SAW SMOKE DAMM CAR CAUGHT ON FIRE ALMOST BURNT THE GARAGE AND HOUSE DOWN,FIRE STARTED IN LEFT FRONT FENDER AREA AS THE LEFT TIRE WAS BURNED UP AND THE RIGHT ONE WAS NOT
WHILE DRIVING THE VEHICLE AT ANY SPEED,THE VEHICLE ENGINE SHUTS DOWN, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO STALL. *AK
WHILE DRIVING DURING ANY WEATHER CONDITION THE ABS BRAKES WILL LOCK UP EVERY SIX MONTHS. *AK FRONT DOOR LOCKS FREEZE IN THE WINTER LEAVING THEM INOPERABLE. CONSUMER STATES SOME WIRES BURNED CAUSING BLACK SMOKE TO FILL UP VEHICLE. BRAKES VERY ROUGH WHEN APPLIED. OIL LEAK. *SLC

THE PARK ROD ASSEMBLY CONTAINS A PARK CAM WITH INADEQUATE SURFACE HARDNESS, WHICH COULD LEAD TO PARK DISENGAGEMENT OR NO PARK ENGAGEMENT WHEN THE LEVER IS PLACED IN PARK.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: IF PARK IS NOT ENGAGED AND THE PARKING BRAKE IS OFF, AVEHICLE ROLL-AWAY COULD RESULT.
Remedy: REPLACE PARK ROD ASSEMBLY ON AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS.
