The contact owns a 2024 Livewire S2 Del Mar Electric Motorcycle. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 35 MPH, an unknown warning light and a turtle icon had suddenly displayed and the motorcycle lost power and reduced speed. The contact checked the diagnostics and discovered error codes regarding overheating and loss of communication. The contact was able to drive the motorcycle home while in limp mode. It was later discovered that the electric motorcycle would no longer properly charge. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The local dealer was notified of the failure. The manufacturer was not yet contacted. notified. The failure mileage was 273.

24V601000 · Electrical System:propulsion System:fuses, Relays, Contacts, And Shunts

LiveWire EV, LLC (LiveWire) is recalling certain 2024 S2 Del Mar and S2 Mulholland motorcycles. The high voltage fuse may degrade and unexpectedly open, resulting in a loss of drive power.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: Unexpected loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will install a high voltage fuse with an increased amperage rating, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 2024. Owners may contact LiveWire customer service at 1-855-387-4337. LiveWire's number for this recall is 1003.

LiveWire EV, LLC (LiveWire) is recalling certain 2024 S2DM (S2 Del Mar) motorcycles. The rear axle and lower shock joint nuts may not have been properly tightened.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: A loose axle or shock nut can result in a loss of stability, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: Dealers will inspect, tighten any loose nuts and replace damaged components as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed May 26, 2024. Owners may contact LiveWire customer service at 1-855-387-4337. LiveWire's number for this recall is 1002.

LIVEWIRE EV, LLC (LiveWire) is recalling certain 2024 S2DM (S2 Del Mar) motorcycles. The Vehicle Supervisory Control (VSC) software may initiate and cause a powertrain shutdown as a result of internal software voltage thresholds being exceeded.

Consequence & remedy

Consequence: An unexpected powertrain shutdown can cause a loss of drive power, increasing the risk of a crash.

Remedy: LiveWire will release an over-the-air (OTA) software update. Owner notification letters were mailed March 5, 2024. Owners may contact LiveWire customer service at 1-855-387-4337. LiveWire's number for this recall is 1001.
