2023 Range Rover Sport (VIN: [XXX] ). Vehicle's own anti-theft security system simultaneously deactivated both smart keys after they were left inside the locked vehicle. This is a known design defect across all JLR vehicles from 2022 onwards. Vehicle is now completely inoperable. Dealer is quoting $3,000 for a new Keyless Vehicle Module (KVM) and two new keys. Owner was never warned at purchase that this could occur. This leaves owners completely stranded with no fix available without paying thousands of dollars. The car had a warning light in December “stop safely electrical fault detected” Land Rover dealership told me nothing was wrong, except I don’t drive enough & the battery was low. Eventually, the warning went away. This week, the warning light was back, along with additional warnings. The car literally shut down & quit working while it was running. I was sitting in a drive-through. I could not put it in park or drive. Extremely dangerous!!! I had to tow it to the dealership. Again we were told that I don’t drive the car enough. i’ve had it for 5 months and it only has 3000 miles. We refused to accept that as an answer. Eventually, they said there was an update needed. I still do not feel this car is safe.
Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar and Land Rover Discovery, 2020-2023 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, 2019-2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport, 2020-2024 Land Rover Range Rover, 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport, 2020-2024 Land Rover Defender, 2021-2024 Jaguar F-Pace, and 2021-2022 Jaguar E-Pace mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEVs.) The DC-DC converter can fail due to an internal fault in the boost control microchip. A failure of the DC-DC converter will result in a loss of 12-Volt system charging and can lead to complete loss of drive power and exterior lighting.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: The remedy for this recall is currently under development. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed June 17, 2026. Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A detached panoramic sunroof side trim can become a road hazard, increasing the risk of injury or crash.
Remedy: Dealers will inspect the panoramic sunroof side finisher trim and secure it as necessary, free of charge. Owner letters were mailed June 19, 2026. Owners may contact Land Rover's customer service at 800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is D095.

The second-row seat armrest storage compartment latch may fail, allowing the objects from within to be unsecured in the event of a crash. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 201, "Occupant Protection in Interior Impact."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: In the event of a crash, unsecured objects from within the armrest compartment may strike the vehicle occupants, increasing their risk of injury.
Remedy: Dealers will replace the locking arm of the second-row armrest storage compartment, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed October 3, 2023. Owners may contact Land Rover customer service at 1-800-637-6837. Land Rover's number for this recall is N789.

The vehicles are equipped with incorrect rear taillights that do not illuminate correctly. In addition, the brake lights may not illuminate correctly. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 108, " Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Taillights and brake lights that do not illuminate correctly can reduce vehicle visibility or cause confusion for other drivers, increasing the risk of a crash.
