In march 2036 my car just completely stopped in 5pm traffic and I was almost hit over a dozen times car wouldn’t albe to be moved because it completed died out. When I took it to JLR had to have it towed twice . They said it was the battery and that it needed to be calibrated, sent me home and same day car stalled again in a busy traffic, this time they said it was my alternator and that my own system was shorted out, and they had to replace the alternator. Wants to charge me $4k , then I get a call saying it’s the DC Dc Converter and it’s shorted out my electric system and alternator! Don’t know I’what to believe ! Before my car died it first said charging. Battery low and died out while I was getting Dutch bros but started up right away, two days later I got the warning lights all flashing and then died completely

I am filing this complaint for a serious drivability and safety issue with my 2020 Range Rover Evoque (VIN: [XXX] ). For over two years, this vehicle has exhibited a violent jerking motion when accelerating from a stop. It happens intermittently but is becoming progressively worse. Despite multiple dealership visits, warranty repairs, and part replacements (including the driveshaft and oil separator). Most recently, on [XXX], my wife was nearly involved in a rear-end collision when the vehicle lurched forward at a green light despite gentle pressure on the accelerator. On [XXX], I experienced the same event, though luckily there was no car in front. These events are frightening and dangerous. We no longer feel safe driving this vehicle. I have attached a detailed document (submitted to Land Rover) summarizing our full service history, dealership findings, and recent near-accident experiences. I believe this is a systemic drivability defect that warrants NHTSA review and investigation. Please contact me if additional documentation or testimony is needed. I am submitting this complaint to report a significant windshield defect in my 2020 Range Rover Evoque. The issue involves water ingress due to improper windshield bonding, which leads to leaks into the passenger compartment and excessive wind noise. This is a known issue with Land Rover vehicles, as evidenced by Service Action N221, which acknowledges similar problems in prior model years, including other Range Rover Evoque and Land Rover Discovery vehicles. Despite the fact that Land Rover has documented and repaired this issue in other vehicles, Land Rover North America has denied responsibility for the defect in my vehicle. They agreed to cover the diagnostic inspection but refused to repair the defect under warranty or as a goodwill repair. Safety Concerns: • Structural Integrity Risk: A poorly bonded windshield compromises the vehicle’s structural integrity in the event of a crash. • Driver Visibility: Water leaks can cause fogging on the windshield, obstructing the driver’s view. • Electrical Damage: Water ingress can lead to electrical malfunctions, potentially impacting vehicle safety systems.

My vehicle only has 37,000 miles on it. It had defective arms, which have needed replaced, as well as a defective seal along the windshield, causing it to leak, and now, after constant error messages as to the coolant, it was discovered that there is a leak coming from the secondary water pump at the flange where the hose is connected. This can cause engine failure otherwise and is a terrible safety hazard. Unfortunately, it's just outside of warranty, requiring an additional $1,500+ for the leak repair and parts replacement.

One day in December i went out after it had rained. And there was condensation on the inside of the windshield inside the car. There were no windows or anything open. The next day i got in the car and the roof of the car by the sun visor and rear view mirror was dripping water. I felt up and it was soaking wet from driver side to passenger side at the top near the sun visor on both sides and near the rear view mirror. I called Land Rover they told me bring it in they will do a diagnostic test. Took it and the service guy confirmed the leaking was coming from the windshield when it rains. Said that my cpo will cover the repair. Later on that same day he calls back and told me it wouldn’t and i would need to pay almost $2000 to get it replaced. I also noticed that my from the water dripping inside. On my sceen where the gps is it does this skipping thing here in there when in use or when i plug in my Apple car play sometimes it doesn’t work. I feel since multiple people are complaining about this issue it should be up to handover to replace these windshields since it’s happening to multiple people or make sure they are on correctly before selling the vehicles. Especially if they know this is a known issue why hasn’t there been a recall yet. On top of that since there are no cracks in the windshield my insurance won’t cover the repair either.

11/21/22 - the car had a significant amount of water on the driver’s side floor. The windshield was leaking extensively. The headliner was saturated and the carpet in the car. The steering column was wet, and the floor mat was filled with water and frozen to the carpet. The touchscreen was not working, and the screen was completely black. Land Rover Hunt Valley confirmed the windshield leak. The headliner and carpet have been soaked and I believe water has damaged the electrical system because of the touchscreen intermittently not working. This vehicle has flood damage due to the significant water breach that occurred. The car is at risk for concealed mold and mildew. I am concerned about the long term effects water damage will have on the electrical system - electrical issues are extremely dangerous safety issues. Water damage will also cause rust and corrosion. The leaking windshield issue in Range Rover Evoque cars is a known problem to Jaguar Land Rover North America. A Technical Bulletin was issued about the problem on 11/6/18, and an After Sales Bulletin/Service Action N221 issued on 3/23/20. The leaking windshield issue is also discussed in many Range Rover Evoque online forums. There are many consumers who have leaking windshields in their Range Rover Evoques. Both the 2018 and 2020 bulletins instructed dealers “to HOLD affected new vehicles that are within your control and refrain from releasing the vehicles for new vehicle sale pending completion of the rework action. Affected vehicles already in the hands of customers should be updated at the next available opportunity." Jaguar Land Rover North America knew about the issue with leaking windshields, and they were still building cars with the defect and having their dealers sell the cars without disclosing the issue to buyers. I would not have purchased this car if the problem was disclosed. Extensive water damage inside a car is a serious safety issue. My car has been sitting at the dealer since 11/29/22

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2021-2024 Land Rover Range Rover Velar and Land Rover Discovery, 2020-2023 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, 2019-2024 Land Rover Range Rover Sport, 2020-2024 Land Rover Range Rover, 2020 Land Rover Discovery Sport, 2020-2024 Land Rover Defender, 2021-2024 Jaguar F-Pace, and 2021-2022 Jaguar E-Pace mild-hybrid electric vehicles (MHEVs.) The DC-DC converter can fail due to an internal fault in the boost control microchip. A failure of the DC-DC converter will result in a loss of 12-Volt system charging and can lead to complete loss of drive power and exterior lighting.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A loss of drive power increases the risk of a crash.
Remedy: The remedy for this recall is currently under development. Interim letters notifying owners of the safety risk were mailed June 17, 2026. Consequence & remedy
Consequence: A torn air bag may not adequately protect an occupant in a crash, increasing the risk of injury. Additionally, a torn air bag may allow hot gases to escape, which can cause a burn injury.

The 48 volt electrical system may experience an overload event, causing a failure of the Metal Oxide Semiconductor Field Effect Transistor (MOSFET) and result in a DCDC converter electrical short-circuit.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: An electrical short-circuit increases the risk of a fire.

The Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS) recommended pressure has been set incorrectly in the instrument cluster. As a result, the TPMS warning light will not illuminate when tire pressure reaches 25% below the cold inflation pressure stated on the tire placard. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 138, "Tire Pressure Monitoring Systems."
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: Drivers may unknowingly operate the vehicle with low tire pressure, negatively impacting vehicle handling and increasing the risk of a crash.

Jaguar Land Rover North America, LLC (Land Rover) is recalling certain 2020 Range Rover Evoque vehicles. The adhesive bond attaching a metal plate to the headliner can fail after exposure to very cold temperatures.
Consequence & remedy
Consequence: In the event of a crash necessitating the deployment of side curtain air bags, the metal plate could detach from the headliner and strike vehicle occupants, increasing the risk of injury.
Remedy: Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will apply self-adhesive fleece tape to the metal plate and the driver and passenger sides of the headliner, free of charge. The fuse for the front and rear windshield washer system may fail and reduce driver visibility. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 104, "Windshield Wiping and Washing Systems."
Consequence: The driver's reduced visibility can increase the risk of a crash.
Remedy: Land Rover will notify owners, and dealers will replace the fuse for the front and rear washer systems, free of charge. In addition, the Engine Junction Box lid will be replaced and an owner's manual insert will be added with the updated fuse rating information. The recall is expected to begin August 2, 2019.
