The fuel system is not designed properly. The fuel pick up tube is located at the center of the tank. While the tank has two lower side compartments that are not accessed by the pick up tube. An aftermarket company called “TacoMoto” has already addressed the issue, developing a better pick up tube fuel system which accesses all the fuel in the tank. The poor engineering design has left me stranded on the highway in a dangerous situation. If I could access all the fuel from the tank, I could’ve made it to the nearest gas station. There is half a tank left in the fuel tank that I can’t utilize because of the poor fuel system design. I need KTM to either pay for the aftermarket fuel system at no cost to me. Or KTM needs to design and warranty this issue again, at no cost to me. This is an expensive bike, no one should half to deal with this issue.
